Rock the Vote
So I voted today. There's nothing like voting for democrats in a republicanly assured state. At least I did my part, and that's all I can do... for now. I'm learning how to play the piano in my free time, writing songs and dreaming that someday I will be able to make music that someone will enjoy, even if it's only me. Maybe I'll start a rock opera, I'll enlist other like minded people to join me and as we rock the shit out of other people I will sit back and think of how just a few years ago I mindlessly followed around other bands in hopes of gaining some insight into my own musical abilities. i might even learn to play ode to joy on the guitar, and play it over and over again until it no longer sounds like music but, instead, just random notes that have lost all meaning. I'll write a book about a lack of a cohesive flow in the music of newly released albums and the artists that care less about the music they put out than the image they try to personify to the wealthy, aristocratic nation they are a part of. I'll call it "Pop Icons: the failure of an entire generation" and have {insert teen pop singer here} provide the artwork.
