Three movies you need to see.

If you have netflixs I would highly recommend you add these three movies to your list. Of if you have the spare time you can watch two of them on youtube, Shelter and Latter Days on youtube. about  I am going to ganke a synopsis so I do not spoil the movies.

Ok we will start with the feel good movie Shelter. It was a really good movie that made me just feel happy watching. There was a couple of parts that annoyed me a wee bit but they did not last to long.

Forced to give up his dreams of art school, Zach spends his days working a dead-end job and helping his needy sister care for her son. In his free time he surfs, draws and hangs out with his best friend, Gabe, who lives on the wealthy side of town. When Gabe's older brother, Shaun, returns home, he is drawn to Zach's selflessness and talent. Zach falls in love with Shaun while struggling to reconcile his own desires with the needs of his family.
Up next is Latter Days. This one is not a real feel good movie. There is a part towards the end that is so freakin' heart breaking. This one is a little more emotional but it will not end up turning you in to a basket case.

Aaron Davis (Steve Sandvoss) and Christian Markelli (Wes Ramsey) are the two most opposite people in the world. Aaron is a young Elder (or a Mormon missionary) who wants to do his family proud and is quite passionate about his religion and film. Christian is a shallow WeHo waiter/party boy who only looks forward to bedding a new guy every night. After Aaron and three other missionaries move into the apartment across from Christian, his friends bet him $50 that he can't get one of them to jump into the sack, so he instantly latches onto Aaron. There are two problems, though - Christian is falling in love with Aaron and the Mormons are not the biggest fans of the homosexual community. Once Aaron is discovered, the two have to go through trials of regret, loss, perseverance, and forgiveness if they both want to get to the thing that matters to them most: each other.

But this one will. It is Yossi and Jagger. It is a foreign film and it is also based on a true story. Now this movie will destroy you. It made me cry and I alomst never cry at movies. The only two movies that have made me cry are Rent and Bambi. But this one is the best out of the three in my opinion.

A sociological study of two men in the Israeli army who are lovers. The others in the unit react to their situation, suspecting, but not always understanding. One will leave the military soon, a few months away, as a snowy and desolute outpost is guarded from attack.
