Here is a list:
1. I have three months of actual class time left (!) and will begin my externship in July. Hopefully at Disneyworld.
2. Some friends and I were shopping at Lush this weekend. I bought this but the sales ladies there kept telling me it works best with this toner. And I thought, sure, but I'm already spending $9 on the one thing, and $13 for some toner is a bit much, especially when I can make it myself. Sure enough, I spent about $6 on some glycerine and witch hazel (I already had the rose water and lavender oil) and whipped some up. The key is combining the other ingredients to take the edge off the witch hazel smell. I used it last night, I will keep playing with the recipe.
3. Ummmm. I have not gotten the new Decemberists album nor the new Beck album. I will correct that ASAP.
4. My friends and I found a cool coffee shop in Chicago this weekend, it's called Kopi (it's on Clark a block or so from the Berwyn stop on the red line). Best chocolate cake I've had in a while.
5. My knife kit got stolen at school. I am going to post notices when I return in case a guilty conscious is at work, but really: Everyone gets one of these when they come to school. Why did you have to take mine? The worst part is that I don't remember "losing" it, I just don't have it. For those not in the know, our knife kits cost $1600 ... I lost about half of mine, and all of the important knives (french, boning and filet and paring knife, microplane, heat resistant whisk, and miscellaneous other stuff.) BALLS.
Uh, that's it for now. I will try to update more often if I can think of something to say. Now hit the showers!
