So I go out to my car to leave work this evening, and between the times of 8AM and 5PM, a very large brown spider had decided to spin an entire web from the driver's side mirror across to the driver's side door handle.  Fortunately I was armed with my gigantic umbrella (not one of those compact things; it's three feet long and can shelter a small family) and dismantled the web from a yard away.  The panicked spider then hid inside the driver's side mirror, and remained there all the way home.  I watched him quivering in the gap between the mirror and the plastic case.

Tis the season for spiderwebs...
