Don't normally do these things, but I responded to izhilzha's, so, what the hey...

If I am on your friends list, why am I on your friends list?
Comment below, and add the question to your LJ, so I can return the favor.

So I've been suprisingly busy. Friday Amy and Trudy and I saw X3, which was good. I think they were trying to fit far too much story into a single movie, and that they didn't seem to understand that with a movie, you can't tell near as many side stories as with a comic book. Did appreciate how alien Grey looked when she went all Phoenix-y. The confrontation at the Grey house was traumatizing. And I felt sorry for Rogue even as I was disappointed that she would give into the "cure".

Yesterday we went to a Renaissance Faire and got really toasty. But it was fun, if small, with lots of happy people and good costumes. Amy bought us all honey sticks, which I loved. We tried home-made root beer. We cheered at a joust and kept forgetting whether we were supposed to say "Aye!" or "Huzzah!" or whatever else we were supposed to say. (Our guy won!) The folks we bought lunch from were great, pretending to be pirates and saying outlandish things. And a lady at a tent where they look up the heritage of your surname was able to track mine down. The information was accurate, too: it mentioned a few names I knew of from my grandfather's hometown.

I am one of those fortunate people whose sunburn will be a tan by this time next week.

Today I am washing my sheets, as apparently the finest of women's hygiene products utterly failed in its duty. Darn.

As Mom and Dad are out of town, they let me have some strawberries that they didn't have time to finish off beforehand. Score!

And I am really gonna look harder for a new job. I'm fed up with being perennially broke. There's a guy at church who's looking for full-time workers, and I'm also gonna try for some teaching positions. It's hard, though, 'cause I do like working at a bookstore.

ren fair, friends, work, movies, real life, lj is awesome, reviews, meme
