"Hi."
"Hello."
Funny how sometimes a single thing or person can become the focus of your attention. You may be in a room full of people, you may be occupied with numerous things, surrounded by countless distractions and yet there remains an unyielding energy reaching out for you.
I was never one to fear distance, absence was a concept that I'm more than comfortable with. The concept, the idea, knowledge, awareness that the person is there and in a sense within reach was more that sufficient to satisfy me. However, some may argue that there exists a correlation between one's desire to see the other and their attraction for them. I would beg to differ but confess to having wavered when challenged with that similar theory.
Is the emptiness one feels when faced with the other's absence really a crucial criteria or proof of your feelings? Is confirmation necessary to begin with?
