Are you working real hard at getting better? You had better be, because we're not gonna wait around forever! If you take too long we're going to come right up there and knock some sense into you! Besides, once you're back home we promise to get you ice cream every day. Our treat! Doesn't that sound better than some crummy old hospital in [blacked out]? You better not have frozen your ears off. You're funny looking enough without losing them too!
Things haven't changed much around here, except it's a whole lot quieter without you and your loud mouth around. Geoffrey's still a big palooka and Martin won't stop making gooey eyes at Mandy. Plus all the tests this year are way harder than the ones before, and Geoffrey got a lead in the school play this year and he's making me do his lines with him. It's Hamlet, and he always, ALWAYS makes me be Ophelia! No one else! I'm ready to clock him clean over the moon, let me tell you. I might up and join you if this hoohah keeps up, because these screwballs sure know how to drive a guy bonkers.
Your mom really misses you too. I gave her flowers when I got back and told her you were being good. She's doing all right, but she'd be doing a whole lot better if you were around again. Even five minutes in that house felt empty without you there. Don't disappoint her, all right? Better yet, don't disappoint ME! She can ground you, but I'll show you a thing or two about needing a hospital!!
I'll come again if I can afford it, but you've gotta try real hard to come back soon. I don't like the idea of you spending any more time up there than you have too, and it's been way too long already. So hurry up and come back home! The weather here can't be beat!
