I feel another fandom coming on.....
Okay, this has been a really good year for my shipping. I'm still shipping Doctor/Rose and David/Billie really hard, and I've also got other pairings I'm obsessing over, too-- Harry/Hermione, Clint/Natasha. And now I think I might ship Joan/Sherlock. Like, I haven't even seen the show yet, but already I'm seeing gifsets and graphics on Tumblr and they all just give me so many feels.
It's funny, because I used to ship things differently than I do now. At first, I would find a pairing, obsess over it a while, then my interest would sort of wane for a little while and I would find a new pairing to obsess over. I mean, I never stop shipping a pairing, unless I have a really good reason to (i.e. problematic themes, that sort of thing). But now I do things differently. I'm obsessing over multiple pairings all at once. I read fanfic for all of them and I reblog them and cry over their existence. It's awesome, because whenever I get slightly bored of one pairing, I have another one to go to, and then when I go back to the first pairing, my interest has returned.
