There were spacious blue fields where I played as a teenager; each section flanked by roads. A disused building to the far end of the field served as a watch-tower. A watch-tower occupied by children. We had not given over to failure just yet. Not while surveying the relatively spacious landscape from the roof.

I met Dean, we talked openly about the miners strike under an open blue sky, a child's laughter accompanied our discussions. The aware grandfather flanked the child; listening to his history retold by teenagers while his future happily played in the dirty water of the fountain.

If someone knew that the world would end tonight I'm sure they'd be as drunk as the persons i've seen passing my window tonight. Perhaps they know, perhaps the world will end tonight.
