monogamy
Today I talked to Mark about fidelity. monogamy is an interest social construct, one as fine and illustrious as that of adultery. I've always been inclined to agree with those theorists who see the rise of monogamy in terms of the need to bequeath wealth and regulate sexual behavior; neither of which are very important to me. I respect the opinions of others on the subject though. It is my more exhibitionist habits that I discussed with my boyfriend; he seemed to understand that it didn't mean I liked him less if I swapped pictures online and it didn't mean that I would sleep with people I sent messages to. What is fidelity? An interesting question with lots of different answers probably.
