Title: Little Things
Pairing: Jack/Sky/Bridge
Rating: PG-13
AN: No, I haven’t forgotten about this little ‘verse, I just haven’t had much inspiration for it lately. :(

Bored. So bored. Jack sighed as he leant back against Bridge’s bed; studying his two pre-occupied lovers. Bridge was poking at something mechanical and Jack didn’t even want to know what it was he was doing because it would probably go right over his head. Sky, on the other hand, was reading. And not the manual either, not even anything connected to SPD in any way. The cover was faded and Jack couldn’t make out what it said, but it was definitely well-read: something Sky kept coming back to. That being the case… Jack was tempted to distract him anyway - after all, Sky already knew how it would finish, right? - then decided he wasn’t quite that much of an idiot. Sky valued his reading time and woe betide anyone who disturbed him.

Which left Jack at loose ends. He would be spending time with Z, except she was with Syd doing who knew what; something that was definitively ‘no men allowed’. So unless he was feeling masochistic enough to voluntarily do extra training - which he so wasn’t - that left him here. Normally that wasn’t a bad thing; between the three of them they usually had any number of things to do. And then there were times like now, when Bridge and Sky were preoccupied and he was bored out of his mind. Not even the comics Bridge kept scattered around were holding his interest.

Looking around the room for anything to distract himself, Jack paused when his attention fell on Bridge’s glasses. They were lying neatly on the nightstand between the two beds and they piqued his curiosity; what had Bridge been doing to warrant getting his glasses out? He usually only used them for reading, but Bridge wasn’t the bookworm Sky was. Getting to his feet got him no reaction from the others whatsoever, which was demoralising. He could probably walk out right now and they wouldn’t even notice.

Picking up the glasses carefully - didn’t want to break them by mistake, after all - Jack turned them over in his hands, running his fingers over the black frames. He liked seeing Bridge in his glasses, they gave him an intellectual look that turned Jack right on. It was always a little disappointing that Bridge didn’t wear them more often. Holding them away from him and squinting at them, Jack decided it wouldn’t hurt if he tried them on for a minute or so and, after a quick glance at Bridge to see if he minded - which was actually a waste of time seeing as Bridge was fully occupied already - Jack slipped them on.

He immediately blinked, trying to get some perspective now that he was wearing them. The lenses made everything seem blurry and it was an effort to make anything out. That obviously wasn’t the case for Bridge, but damn if that wasn’t disorienting. He was about to pull them off when he realised he had an audience. Sky’s book was hanging loosely in his hands and Sky was just staring at him, lips slightly parted.

Before Jack could do anything, even think anything, Sky was off his bed and pushing Jack backwards onto Bridge’s bed. Landing hard and with most of the air knocked out of him, Jack’s breathless state wasn’t helped by Sky’s mouth pressed against his, hard and hungry. Well damn. It seemed like glasses were as much of a turn on for Sky as they were for him. Breaking away to suck in some air, Jack managed a short gasp of laughter.

“This gets your attention?”

“Shut up,” Sky mumbled, biting down on his bottom lip while Jack slid his hands up Sky’s back, rucking up Sky’s jacket in the process, knowing that would be the quickest way of ‘encouraging’ Sky to lose the thing. Sure enough, Sky growled impatiently and let go of Jack only long enough to shrug out of his jacket and return to what was promising to be a highly enjoyable make-out session, if not more.

But they were missing someone.

“Bridge,” Jack called, “get over here already.”

Bridge, who had been watching them intently, gloves resting on the floor leaving his hands bare, grinned and didn’t wait to be invited twice.
