Ars Amatorium: Jack/Sky

Dec 17, 2006 18:21

As stated in the previous post, here's some of the Jack/Sky AA themes I never got round to posting before, but, as is often the way, after bemoaning the fact that I'm not getting anywhere with my regular OTPs what should happen but I get hit by inspiration? There's an LG AU which may or may not go up, and the latest SPD-SG1 is that much closer to being done.

Post-Endings, these stories are all linked as an arc, each following on from the next.

Lost

It was over. Everything was over. Gruumm was gone, finally. He was gone and the planet was safe again, more or less, but for all that, right now Sky couldn’t seem to care. Gruumm might be gone, but so too was Jack. Gone without a word, not even a goodbye. Gone now that he no longer had to be red ranger and live under SPD rules. Despite the fact that he now had everything he’d wanted as far back as he could remember, as he lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling, Sky had never felt so lost.

Pride

Z POV

He wants to go after him, I can see it in the way he’s struggling with himself. Sky’s loosened up a lot over the past year and on occasion he’s easier to read. Like now.

Jack’s resignation came as something of a surprise, even to me, and it seems like he didn’t even say anything to Sky about leaving, and that’s kinda cold. I wouldn’t have expected Jack to do that, just take off without a word to the guy he’s involved with? It’s not like him.

Sky wants to go after him, even if it’s only to find out how things stand between them now, but he won’t. His pride won’t let him.

Never mind, I’ll just take matters into my own hands, maybe get Bridge in on it as well. If you want something done right, you do it yourself.

The Call

“Jack?”

“Z! Hey, how’d it go earlier?”

“Fine. We’ve gone up against worse.”

“Oh. That’s good, then. So, how‘s everything else.”

“Fine. Actually, I was wondering if you’re busy this afternoon?”

“No, not really. You wanna come over? Not that the lack of invitation stops you.”

“Funny. What’s the deal with you and Ally?”

“Huh? What? Where’d that come from?”

“Inquiring minds want to know. Answer the question, Jack.”

“Ally’s a friend, nothing more. Why?”

“So, you wouldn’t mind if a certain person were to come over then?”

“… Z, what are you up to?”

“Up to?”

“Don’t give me that. What are you planning?”

“Bridge is covering his patrol this afternoon, so that leaves him at loose ends wouldn’t you say?”

“…”

“Jack? You still there?”

“Yeah, I’m here. When should I expect him?”

“Any time this afternoon. Don’t mess this up, Jack. You have a lot of making up to do.”

“Yeah. I know.”

“So, anyway, have fun. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

“And that would be what exactly?”

“Be nice. Go get ready.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Shut up, Jack.”

Chance

Jack was just finishing loading up the truck when he felt eyes on him. He smiled, knowing exactly who it was, even before he turned around, and he deliberately stretched, sticking his ass out as he did so and he was rewarded with a faint laugh behind him. He turned, feigning surprise as he pulled the back of the truck down, a pretence that vanished in the face of Sky’s knowing smile.

“Hi,” he said, smile still on his face.

“Hi yourself,” Sky replied as he pushed away from the bike he’d been leaning against and moved towards Jack, who suddenly found himself shoved against the back of the truck, Sky‘s lips on his, Sky‘s hands on his waist. He slipped his hands into Sky’s hair, firmly keeping him in place, and he felt Sky ‘hmmm’ in amusement as he did so.

He knew he’d messed up before, leaving without saying anything, and if it hadn’t been for that crafty, interfering sister of his, with a little help from the resident psychic, naturally, this might not be happening and he‘d still be turning himself inside out over Sky. He didn’t know why Sky kept coming back, he was just glad that he did. He’d screwed up before, but he’d been given a second chance and he wasn’t going to make the same mistake again.

Friends

Ally stared as she stood in the doorway, frozen in place by the sight in front of her: Jack pressed against the truck, arms around one of his friends, as the guy kissed his way down Jack’s throat, something Jack was evidently enjoying if the quiet moans were anything to go by. What was the guy’s name again? Bridge? Sky? Sky, that was it. Bridge was the smaller one. She swallowed hard at the sight before her. Jack liked guys? Was that why he’d never really responded to her flirting, because he was gay? She’d thought that maybe he was too busy trying to settle into his new life to get involved with anyone, and was only willing to be friends for now.

She sighed inwardly as Jack’s hands slid down Sky’s back, pressing him closer. Judging by the way Jack was clearly enjoying himself, friends was all they would ever be.

Competition

It only took one look for Sky to realise that he really didn’t like Ally Samuels. This was the girl that had had Jack all distracted the last few weeks leading up to the final battle against Gruumm’s forces. She was blonde and pretty and he could see why Jack would easily be attracted to her. They’d obviously spent a lot of time together over the past month or so, getting all this set up, if nothing else, and adding insult to injury was the almost possessive way Jack smacked Piggy’s hand off her shoulder.

Before he could react though, his morpher went off and Jack’s eyes flickered to it immediately. He couldn’t help his quick glance at Jack, almost asking permission for this, despite everything. “Go for it,” Jack said, and while he knew Jack was talking about the morpher, he wondered if he was also talking about something else.

Later on, after the battle was over and his duties were done for the day, with Bridge covering his afternoon patrol for some reason, he went back to the Mission, a little unsure of his reception. Jack was outside, apparently loading up the lorry, and he couldn’t help admiring the view as Jack stretched. He knew it the moment Jack realised he was there, the stretch lasting just that little bit too long, and he laughed softly. He smiled as Jack turned round, acting all surprised until he caught on to the fact that he wasn’t fooling anyone.

Before he knew what he was doing, he was pushing away from his bike and slamming Jack into the back of the truck, kissing him hard. Claiming him. Jack’s instantaneous response of pulling him closer and matching his intensity erased any doubts he had about Jack and Ally. Jack wouldn’t be reacting like this with his girlfriend right inside, so when he absently heard the door open, he wasn’t bothered by her standing right there. Pretending he hadn’t noticed, he kissed his way down Jack’s throat, smiling inwardly as Jack’s hips jerked against him and Jack moaned softly as he hit the spots he knew would get a reaction. Even though he knew he shouldn’t, he couldn’t help gloating a little, inwardly of course, as Jack’s hands wandered down his back, effectively pressing him closer.

Sky slid a hand into Jack’s hair, returning his attention to Jack’s mouth, moaning a little himself at the sensations running through him as Jack bit down on his bottom lip. He smirked as he heard the door close. This competition was over. Hands down victory for Sky Tate. Jack pulled back a little to nibble on his ear and he gasped at the jolt that action sent through him. Damn it, Jack knew what that did to him. “That wasn’t very nice,” Jack murmured in his ear, before he sucked gently on his earlobe.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he responded innocently, but Jack just laughed.

“Yes you do, Sky. Think you’ve made your point?”

“Oh, I’ve done that,” Sky said airily. “Doesn’t mean I’m finished with you though.”

As Jack laughed again, before using the back of the lorry as leverage to hoist himself up and wrap his legs round Sky’s waist, bracing himself against the truck, Sky went back to kissing him. By the time he was finished, Jack wasn’t going to be able to even think about anyone else but him.
