Title: Matchmaking Busybodies aka Loving Friends
Pairing: Ban/Hoji
Fandom: Dekaranger

AN: Hm, haven't written Deka in a while, so apologies for any OOC-ness. For Mariko who prompted me with
"someone on Dekaranger finally snapping and tossing Ban and Hoji on a bed together and tellign them ot get it over with already" "Sen," Hoji growled, struggling in the surprisingly tight grip Sen had on him as he was force-marched towards his quarters. "This is ridiculous; let go of me."
"I'm afraid I can't do that, Hoji," Sen said, sounding genuinely apologetic, damn him. "Sorry."
"This is for your own good, Hoji-san," Umeko piped up from in front of them, smirking at him over her shoulder. "You'll thank us later." And with that she went back to her role in this travesty, which seemed to be a combination of directing people to get out of the way and making his life a living hell.
"Not likely," he muttered, renewing his efforts; the moment Sen's grip loosened, even for a second, he was out of there. He even thought he'd managed it at one point, until Sen neatly tripped him and grabbed hold of him again before he could land flat on his face.
"Sorry, Hoji," Sen apologised again. "It would be better if you didn't do that."
They heard Ban long before they saw him, making the most god-awful racket as Tetsu dragged him along in a headlock, Jasmine walking calmly in front of them, much as Umeko was doing for him.
"PARTNER!" Ban yelled. "They got you too? What're they doing? Why did they--?"
"Don't call me partner," Hoji snapped, cutting off the tirade before Ban could build up any momentum. "Now's not the time."
"Many problems?" Jasmine asked, strolling over to Umeko and there went any lingering hope Hoji had that one of his friends might be free of this madness.
"Not really," Umeko replied breezily. "We had it under control."
"Kouhai, let go of me or I will kick your ass so hard in training tomorrow!" Ban yelled, tugging fruitlessly at the headlock.
"Nonsense, sempai," Tetsu replied calmly. "You haven't beaten me at all in our latest sessions."
"Why you--"
"Jasmine-san, if you please?"
Jasmine nodded and stepped forward to open the door. It turned out not to be Hoji's quarters after all, but neither were they Ban's either; more a currently unoccupied room that seemed to be just what these insane people he called his teammates wanted. She stepped into the room and turned back with a mischievous grin on her face. "Welcome," she said lightly. "I would put the light on but I doubt you'll need it."
"Jasmine," Hoji began, not ashamed to plead with her. "Jasmine, this is crazy, it's--"
"About time," she finished for him. "Sen, Tetsu, if you please?"
Hoji found himself marched forward yet again, Ban suddenly quiet in Tetsu's grip beside them and Hoji didn't like that, he didn't like it at all. He landed hard on the bed, the air knocked out of him by Sen's overly enthusiastic shove, not to mention Ban's weight landing squarely on top of him. He pushed hard but couldn't move the idiot enough to get up and out of the room. "I'm not going to forget this," he threatened, frowning when Umeko giggled, covering her mouth with her hand and whispering something in Jasmine's ear that made the other woman grin as well.
"I'm sure you won't," was the grave reply.
"But maybe if you just get it over with it won't be so bad as you think?" was Sen's completely unhelpful addition.
Tetsu just gave him and Ban a quick thumbs up before Hoji glared at him, at which point Tetsu backed away fairly quickly. "We'll leave you to it," he said hurriedly. "And don't worry about interruptions, you've got all evening."
"Tetsu!" Hoji barked, shoving at Ban again in an attempt to dislodge him. "Get back here!"
Ban still wasn't moving and if Hoji didn't know better he'd swear the other man had gone limp on purpose, turning himself into dead weight that couldn't be moved. Hoji sighed as the others left, hiding their amusement with varying degrees of success before the door shut behind them.
"Get off," he muttered, tugging at Ban's jacket in a fruitless attempt at budging him. "We have to get out of here before they come back."
"They locked the door," Ban said softly, his hair tickling against Hoji's neck.
"You don't know that."
"I would," Ban shrugged, his entire upper body moving in a very distracting way. "Wouldn't you, partner?"
"I'm not your partner."
"Whatever you say," Ban agreed easily and Hoji stared down at the other man's head with growing suspicion. Ban was being entirely too quiet and co-operative with this, it wasn't like him.
"Was this your idea?" he demanded and Ban's head came up suddenly, more serious than Hoji was expecting, no trace of that stupid grin Ban usually wore, even when he was caught out.
"No," Ban said quietly. "It wasn't." Then the grin appeared as Ban tilted his head to the side and studied him for a moment. "I was actually planning to ambush you on the range or something. When you weren't holding a gun, obviously, otherwise you'd be too tempted to shoot me."
Hoji stared at him blankly, his mind whirring around trying to put all the pieces together in a way that actually made sense and failing miserably. "You--"
"Uh huh," Ban agreed. "You're pretty dense for such a smart guy, Partner."
"Don't call me--" Hoji didn't get to finish the sentence as Ban's mouth was suddenly covering his very insistently and Ban was apparently a very pushy kisser, which Hoji wasn't about to let go unchallenged.
"We still need to get them back for this," he muttered as they finally broke apart for air, breathing heavily, with their uniform jackets discarded on the floor, shirts untucked and rumpled where their chests were pressed together. Ban's eyes were slightly glazed but still warm with amusement as he nodded.
"Think about that tomorrow," was all he said, tugging Hoji's shirt over his head and throwing it over his shoulder. "I don't want to be thinking about anyone else right now."
