555 flailage
Okay, so I was rewatching Faiz for inspiration, episodes 20 and 21 in this case, seeing as I have two ongoing challenges for it, and I was reminded all over again of just how much I love both Kiba Yuji on his own and Takumi/Yuji as a pair. The way they just throw everything they have into saving each other from the Orphenocs even before they even know each other's names and the way they grin at each other like it's not life or death at all, and I just *sighs* I love them so much it's not funny.
Also interesting here is that Takumi is the first to ask for a name when back in episode 4, when Keitaro asks him the same thing he blows it off as not being important, all 'why do guys have to introduce themselves anyway?'. Yet here he is, doing it anyway.
Other shiny shows might have distracted me since I watched this first time around - and Gaoranger might be currently owning my soul like woah - but damn if I don't still enjoy Faiz anyway. I want my inspiration for this show back, damn it. Even if only for drabbles. :( I will say, though, that it's kind of hard watching Kusaka with a straight face after seeing Cutie Honey the Live, but maybe if I watch it a bit more seriously instead of just skimming bits I wouldn't have that problem? *shrugs*
