"What did you do?" Gaku demanded, staring at the burning tree in dismay as Blue tried frantically to put it out. He didn't even think it was possible to set fire to the trees on Sky Island, but clearly he'd been wrong.

"I didn't do anything!" Blue protested, pausing in his exertions and squinting up at the sky, his hands clenching into fists at his sides. "Damn it, why does it have to be so dry lately? There's no water to draw on to put it out."

Gaku was about to tell Blue exactly what he thought of his excuses - how else would the tree be on fire except a mistake by the weather-manipulator? - but then he felt a faint hint of a breeze and while his first reaction was one of relief - really, it was so warm and dry that any kind of breeze was welcome - reality kicked in fast. "Don't you dare summon any wind," he told Blue firmly. "Wind's just going to make this thing worse."

And the last thing they wanted was a fire spreading out across Sky Island.

"I know that," Blue grated. "And the wind's not me, alright? Not everything that happens with the weather is my fault."

"No, just most of it."

"Over here!" came a shout behind them and Gaku turned to find the others sprinting towards them, buckets in their hands, water sloshing over the sides as they ran.

"At least some people have sense," Gaku murmured under his breath. The water had to have come from the lake, although there couldn't be much to spare, even there.

"Shut up," Blue retorted, snatching the bucket out of White's hands. "I don't see you doing anything to help either."

"I'm really sorry, Blue," Red said a few minutes later when they finally had the fire out. "It won't happen again."

"It better not," Blue muttered. "I can only do so much with this little water in the air."

"Wait," Gaku interrupted. "What?"

Red gave him a sheepish grin and draped an arm around Blue's shoulder. "I was playing with GaoLion. Things got... kind of out of hand."

Gaku stared at their leader for a moment, then turned his gaze to Blue, who was giving him an 'I told you so' expression. "It really wasn't you?"

"I told you it wasn't."

Gaku frowned, feeling a little nonplussed. Well, he supposed there was a first time for everything, even if that was something going wrong and it not being Blue's fault.
