dual_tsubasa who propmted me with Tsukasa and the gang ending up on Deep Space Nine or or the Enterprise. It turned out to be DS9. :) Post-season. Um, I think it kind of shows I haven't written Decade much, sorry and this may not have been what you were after. :(
Hikari Natusmi poked her head cautiously out of the door to Hikari Studios, trying to get some idea of where they had arrived this time. Her eyes widened as she took in the scenery that looked like nothing she'd seen in any of their travels to other worlds. Scanning the area she saw a lot of people in a uniform of some kind: black trousers with either a red, yellow or blue jacket-slash-shirt, while others were in uniforms of solid colours in different shades of red, yellow and blue.
"Oi, Natsumikan," Tsukasa protested from somewhere behind her, "stop blocking the door."
Natsumi turned back to glare at him, then her eyebrows rose as she took in the black and red (or was it pink?) uniform he was currently wearing, his camera around his neck, as usual. Well, at least Tsukasa would fit in here, she wasn't sure about herself or Yuusuke.
Speaking of Yuusuke, he'd slipped past her and was standing in the middle of the wide hallway, looking around with interest, then he froze, falling into a protective stance, one arm out to the side, right in front of her. She couldn't see why at first, as there was nothing around that looked like a monster. Then she saw why: there was a... person heading their way, only he could never be mistaken for human. There were deep ridges on his forehead and the top of his nose and the uniform he was wearing was more like armour than any she had seen so far. He wasn't a monster, no, more like... an alien of some kind.
The... man gave them a sneering look as he passed by but it wasn't until he was out of sight that Yuusuke relaxed, which was when Natsumi realised she'd also had Tsukasa looming over her protectively and she scowled: no matter what she did or said they still thought they had to protect her. It was frustrating.
"What was that?" Yuusuke was demanding and Natsumi could only shake her head wordlessly. She had no idea.
"I don't know," Tsukasa admitted, which only disquieted her even more. Even before he'd regained his memory Tsukasa had always known which world they were in and what the monsters were called. That he didn't seem to know anything about this place was unusual.
"They're called Klingons," was the casual announcement from somewhere to her right and Natsumi, along with the others, turned to find Daiki-san lounging against the wall of the Hikari studio, absently tossing a baseball in his left hand. He always seemed to appear out of nowhere, no matter where they were.
"Klingons?"
Daiki-san rolled his eyes and straightened up. "Yes, Natsumelon. Klingons."
"Natsumikan," came the retort in chorus and Natusmi stamped her foot. "Natsumi," she snapped. "It's Natsumi."
Daiki-san shrugged a very eloquent 'whatever', the expression on his face saying everything. "You're in the Star Fleet world now," he told them. "It's a bit different than what you guys are used to. There are no Kamen Riders here for one thing." He paused. "Or Shinkengers, either."
"Where did you get the baseball?" Yuusuke asked suspiciously, only for Daiki-san to smirk and shrug again.
"Oh, around. Here and there."
"You stole it, you mean."
"I am a thief," Daiki-san replied idly, tossing the ball at Yuusuke's head, causing her friend to raise his hands quickly to defend himself, before he threw the ball back as if it burnt him.
"Put it back already," Yuusuke hissed, "before you get us into trouble. Again."
Daiki-san gave Yuusuke a sad-eyed look and even though Natsumi knew it was false she couldn't help feeling obscurely guilty, a reaction Yuusuke seemed to share, much against their better judgement. Looking around to distract herself Natsumi saw a man in an all tan uniform watching them intently from the doorway to another store, although something seemed wrong about his face, even from here.
"Back inside," Tsukasa announced, pulling them back one by one, even Daiki-san, grabbing his shirt by the collar and hauling him roughly inside. "We're being watched."
