I had to cap three scenes from Farscape yesterday. I hadn't realised how damn much I miss that show and how truly amazing it is. Ok yeah, I know it's amazing but I had forgot how quickly it touches you XD

So I vote Farscape rewatch!

It's so amusing the way to introduce Vala btw. Very much like Aeryn wouldn't you say? Big black armour revealing a beautiful woman... who then kicks her future love's butt.

I only caught up with it less than a year ago (I knoooow, I'm so behind! But atleast this way I keep finding new awesome things that I can marathon!) so it's still pretty fresh in my mind. And I went straight to SG-1 s9 (I tried the earlier seasons but they bored me) so yeah, I giggled quite a bit at all the similarities. Not to mention that 100th episode Farscape parody. SO MUCH WIN.
I think I'll do a mini-rewatch maybe, some of my favorite episodes.

I think I watched it maybe three years ago or something. Marathoned from beginning to end of course, that's the only way to watch tv *laugh*

When I heard that Ben and Claudia was in SG-1 together I decided to watch Vala's first ep. I had seen season one ages ago when it was on Swedish telly, but they stopped airing after just that season and it was befor eI knew what wonders the internet could bring. So I forgot. But I watched from that s8 ep with Vala and until I was up to speed with the show (probably towards the end of s9) and then I started from the beginning. It's quite a nice show really. But not near the quality of Farscape or BSG for example.

Gosh, the 200th parody was amazing! I love that they decided to switch Ben and Michael. It's Vala we're tlaking, of course she would put Daniel as her Crichton, not Cam! xD

I'm curious... which are your favourite episodes?

Marathoning is wonderful, I'm so happy about the shows I was too stubborn to watch or missed when they aired because these days I watch almost everything so there's much less I ever need to catch up on.

Åh, du är också svensk? :D (*Sticks with English because it's prettier and less rude in an English-speaking comm*) I discovered the wonders of internet back when an episode took a week to download and had the picture-size of a stamp (gosh, I sound like Grandpa Simpson...), Swedish TV has never been enough for me. We were like 4 years behind on Buffy for a while!! FOUR YEARS!
I'll probably watch the first 8 seasons later, when I get desperate enough. It wasn't horrible, just kinda dull.

Ah yeah right 200! *Facepalms* Yeah I love that they switched it out too, that was perfect!

Oh, so many! I'll just pick my top five: Crackers Don't Matter, obviously, Out Of Their Minds, Look At The Princess (all three), Won't Get Fooled Again, Revenging Angel, Chrichton Kicks, John Quixote, Terra Firma... Oops, that's more than five, isn't it? :D

Hah, me too! I think in English too, have since I was like 10. I blank out on Swedish words a LOT more than I do on English ones. Love Sweden but Swedish is one helluva sucky language. :/

Didn't they do the same with Doctor Who too, only one season or so and then nada? Swedish TV = the ultimate bullshit.

Yeah I think he was too, I remember reading they did a last-minute swap. Good thing they did!
I watch Glee too, pretty much the exact same motivation. ;) Haha, Finn right? I think I remember reacting to that. Plus they kinda look alike, in a "one is super-hot, the other's really not" kind of way. :p (Guess which is which!)

Yeah absolutely, crack for me. :D I'm not a fan of the angst, probably why I don't like BSG (well, that and the whole messy mythology and some other bits)... But it did work for me in Farscape, mostly, and especialy since there was a happy ending. Angst is fine as long as it all ends well.

I tend to think in English sometimes. Errr, actually I sometimes think in terms of LJ entries. Why yes this place has messed me up XD

No idea, but it wouldn't surprise me. And at the same time kanal 6 shows the same damn shows over and over. SG-1 being one of them.

I like musicals too much not to. Even if I want to slap Rachel in the face all the time. Puck needs to sing more, Will needs to sing/rap less. The end. And yep, Cory played young Cam. I so didn't know until I looked at his imdb page for some reason. Then I went OMGHOLYCRAP XDDDDD

Ah I see. Then no, BSG so won't be your cup of tea.
I suppose Farscape might work since it's mostly attached to the relationship between John and Aeryn, which goes very much up and down. So you sort of expect it to get solved eventually. Whereas in BSG well... not everything ends happily. And people die a lot. It's still me second favourite show, but that is partly cause I love the angst they have.

Hey I do that too, it's not just LJ though. Any site I visit frequently tend to influence my thinking pretty severely. Especially TWoP, that site gets in my head... But it's true for TV and movies too, so I'm just really easily influenced.

Agree on Rachel and Puck, but I'm one of the crazy few who actually defends Will's rapping. He's boring when he sings, he's atleast hilariously dorky when he raps! Also it's better than his personality, because he IS a slut. :p

Yeah no, I got through 3½ seasons (marathoned) but then I just up and quit (the last half of s4 hadn't aired yet and when it did/had I just didn't care to watch). Which I still think is pretty good, all things considered. :p
And Farscape probably works for me partly because of John/Aeryn (hopeless romantic/shipper so I'm a sucker for a good love story) and partly because of the cracky silly fun. As long as there is that I can deal with any amounth of angst, I think. And the happy ending, of course. I'm all about the endings.

Hehe, then I probably shouldn't tell you that I think I quit on SGA at 518... I think I read that there was going to be a cliffhanger to be resolved in a movie and I was like "screw that". I was already pissed because Keller ended up with Rodney instead of Ronon... >_>

Totally agree on Ben/Claudia and their unsurpassed chemistry. I hope to see that kind of insane acting and chemistry again, it was just perfect.
And I so loved the Karen Shaw detail, I'm a total continuity-whore. <3

ZOMG I have nightmares about that! O_O Kind of considering giving up on watching heavy arc-shows live because of it, no matter how impossible that would be for me.

and I seem to remember rooting for Keller/Ronon as well BUT when she ended up with McKay I was like "but aaaw!" and sinc eMcKay was my favourite and I immedeately loved Keller cause she was played by Jewel Staite I was a-okay with it.

I just hope they will get that webseries done AND that both Ben and Claudia will be in it damnit.
I'm a continuity whore too. If I can remember stuff anyway (with Farscape I can thankfully) And like when they hired a bunch of old characters to help them. Stuff like that makes me very happy :D

I could never give up watching arc shows live for the fear of a cliffie. I just keep my fingers crossed they will finish it properly somehow. I loved that with Dollhouse... Joss was clever enough to make a "10 years in the future" kind of thing to slap at the end just in case.

I'm happy with the ending of the miniseries so webseries would just be gravy. Same here, I get positively giddy when they do that! And I have a rotten memory but I rewatch a lot if I love something, so sooner or later I pick up on all the continuity. My current obsession is Community, partly because they have killer continuity (and partly because it's hilarious and adorable and smart and pop-culture-y).

Yeah me neither probably, I have no impulse control and my first impulse is to watchitnao!

Oh yes me too. The ending of PKW was perfect. But more is always nice.

I just rewatched John Quixote. Gawds I love that show so much. And I had forgotten that that ep isn't all cracktastic. Even in an ep like that they bring the seriousness and the angst. Basically everything with Aeryn is serious and quite heartbreaking (not counting the princess of course). Hell even Noranti is behaving like a normal person and is even a bit sad and nostalgic.
And again, continuity! Lots of comments that are throw backs to earlier seasons. And everything in the game being from Stark's time. Good stuff.
And of course the cameo by Rowan Woods ♥

And so did Fox. They were too scared to cancel it after one season. The fans are crazy!
