Fandom Post: Actual Planes Referenced in the Stargate Franchise

Here I toss off any remaining doubt that I am not an aviation geek, and describe the not-ficticious planes and helicopters depicted or referenced in the Stargate franchise.

That's a lot of training for the Antarctic. )

Nice, the only trouble with the list is that the US air force don't fly helicopters, they are army and marine corps toys. Stargate didn't do there homework on this bit, they should have sent for you, although they would have to keep you away from some of the cast in order to get some work done. XD

Actually, all the helicopters have USAF variants. They're more widely used by the Army, but there are versions in the AF. For example, in the army, it's the V-22 Osprey, but the AF variant is the CV-22 Osprey. The Black Hawk variant is the HH-60 Pave Hawk. The Air Force wasn't even a separate branch until 1947, so sometimes there's overlap.
