How is it that The OC has become completely awesome again?! I am totally in love with Ryan/Taylor.
I didn't watch any of the third season except for like one episode that I caught when I was flipping channels last year so I don't know anything about Taylor or how the main characters thought of her last year. I am totally in love with her. The way she always knows what Ryan is feeling/thinking before he does just proves how much she gets him. He needs someone in his life that isn't Marissa, which granted is not that hard since Marissa is dead, yay!
Now Ryan/Marissa is making me think of Logan/Veronica now. In the sense that Ryan would do anything for Marissa, if I'm remembering their relationship correctly, becuase he would totally have beat the hell out of a cop car to get arrested if it meant hurting someone who hurt her. Wow, I don't think that sentence made any sense at all. Maybe Ryan just strikes me as tortured like Logan. I don't really want to go there but just thinking about it right now the scene popped into my head. Damn, now I'm gonna have to think on this and see if Logan and Ryan have stuff in common. I really don't want to do that because that means that Marissa and Veronica have stuff in common and while Veronica is completely bugging me now I do not have anywhere near the V!hate as I do/did the Marissa!hate.
Back to the show, Che is a complete douchebag. He left Summer high and dry. If I were her I would totally have gone to the Dean's and been all he's this big douche and this is all the stuff that he has done this semester, kick his ass to the curb. Of course her getting kicked out would be the only way Summer would leave Brown so I guess that is why they are going there. I really loved the conversation at the end. Summer and Seth are so strained in their relationship right now but both really do want it to work.
Hello, Kaitlin Cooper, you are like a Marissa that I don't violently dislike. I get the feeling that she is how Marissa should have been. Of course I'm just repeating the comments of others here but since I haven't mentioned anything about the show yet I'm throwing it out there. I kind of loved that scene at the end with Julie, those two have such a bizarre relationship but they really do love each other. I kind of hope we get to see more of the mother/daughter stuff. So those two boys Kaitlin is always hanging out with they are gay, right? Not for each other but in general.
Now for the best part and the reason I have come back to my love of the show, Ryan and Taylor. She is just perfect for him right now. He needs someone who knows him and still wants to be with him. Taylor needs someone to really care for her and Ryan can do that. When Ryan told Seth that he wouldn't date Taylor and she overheard I was so glad he ran after her and tried to make it right. It's a good thing Sandy had that conversation with Seth so Seth would use his Jedi mind trick on her. (It really wasn't a Jedi mind trick though, it was reverse psychology. Jedi mind tricks are all, "these are not the droids you're looking for.") When she brought Ryan the tea and she kissed him I am so glad it sent him over the moon. Plus, there is further proof that they are meant to be together, Ryan was able to sleep like a baby after Taylor kissed him. I so cannot wait for the next episode. I hope the writers don't fuck this up.
Wow, look at all the commentary my old crack show has brought out in me again. Season 4 is really channeling season 1 in cracktastic awesomness. I hope it keeps it up, and I hope that FOX doesn't cancel it now because it's good again.
I am still sleepy from being sleep deprived yesterday and working last night. I think I'll take a nap.
