Omg and....oh yeah, OMG

I was rather distraught to find that there won't be a new episode of Sanctuary or Stargate next friday, however, the fact that Amanda Tapping is guesting on the 7 hour episode of Ghost Hunters makes up for that somewhat :) I know I won't watch the whole thing because my friend from Milwaukee is coming out and I believe me and him and my aunt are giong to watch the Excorcist, but still. It'll be funny seeing AT on GH considering that that's the sort of thing she pretends to do on Sanctuary...

I'll start out by saying that the stargate episode disappointed me a little. Clip show...yawn...nothing spectacular.

But Sanctuary. OMG.

It reminded me a little of the SG-1 episode "Grace." Actually it reminded me of Grace a lot, but it was original enough to not feel repetitive at all.

I got all excited in the beginning that they had kept the proposal scene, but sad at how much they cut it down. They cut out the kiss, which made me super sad, they cut out the whole bit showing that they were just coming from seeing a Shakespeare play and they cut out a lot of the little bits that made John seem more human. I wish they'd kept the full scene, but beggars can't be choosers, eh?

Invisible monster. OMG WTF BBQ?! I thought it was so creative how they did it...such a frustratingly slippery little bugger, eh? And I liked all the interactions between the survivors.

Really, Helen? You hate coffee to the point where you'd refuse it if you're freezing to death. I love you so so much. :P ( that makes me feel incredibly better about the fact that I can no longer drink coffee...I'll just tell everyone I'm being like Helen :D)

Oh dear. They pulled a cliche. Well, ok, they kinda pulled a cliche. The first member of Helen's little team to die was the black one. (Though he wasn't the first in the episode, so that avoids making it a super horror movie cliche) Poor Silvio.

Whoa...I think Druitt's sideburns are far scarier than the fact that he just randomly appears out of nowhere. JK. I thought it was rather cute how in the part where he's brushing her hair back, for a moment Helen kind of smiles and leans into his touch before opening her eyes and freaking out because her creepy teleporting jack-the-ripper ex-boyfriend is standing there being all...creepy...

The scene towards the end where Helen's talking to John and he asks her if she ever really loved him...I almost started crying. It was so emotional. I love that they went back and explored their past a little...interesting that they met at Oxford. I hope they do more of that in the series :) *is a rabid Helen/John shipper*

However...does anyone notice those random little moments between Will and Helen where it's like... *look at each other* *SPARK* *smirk* *look away* or in last week's episode I believed there was a little hand on shoulder thing going on. Makes me wonder if that's intentional or just my brain being hungry for ships. Or the fact that I think Amanda could create sexual tension with a box, and certainly with a cute guy like Robin Dunne. :P (Ok, ignoring the fact that Helen's like 130 years older than him....)

But my OTP is forever Helen/John. Seriously. I was just sayin'.

So yeah, all in all this ep was a great success IMO. And yay for fake Wills who don't know that Helen hates coffee. Haha.
