Weekend
Well it is just too quiet in here. Reading the LJ comments is getting a bit old. So let's see what did I do this weekend.
Saturday the scifi club participated in the Waban Telethon and we manned the phones for an hour. For those who do not know what the Waban is, they have special classes for special needs children and do a wonderful job. So that involved the one of two times I insist we do in full uniform. One of the reasons is it is televised. Plus it is fun to see the looks on folks faces. Later we went to the XO's house and watched the new Stargate SG1 movie that just got released.
Sunday was a busy day. Started with going to the gym when they opened up at 6am. Had a great workout lasting 3 hours finishing up with the hot tub, ahhhhhhhh! From there went to church, yes the building did not collapse! My baby (youngest daughter), holy Frak she's 28 now, wanted me there because she was joining the church. It was very cool since my wife sponsored it and both had to give a speech. Now I am not into the church scene but I will certainly not stop or interfere with others. So if my daughter wants me to be there then of course I will go to support her.
So after that home and started cooking the annual Corn Beef and Cabbage dinner with my secret ingredient of Guinness beer. After slaving over the stove for 4 hours (simmering time) I must say it was fantastic. Of course I made lots of extra so I will be having it for lunch today.
Someone pointed out to me my 4 month old picture I have on my myspace page I am actually using the finger, the middle finger that is! Even then I am still an Ass! Love it. So changed the milk and beer pic to mine and the wording to say "Frak milk...Got Beer?
So ended the weekend getting on-line with friends and playing games. Of course my friend in Florida did not help when he said they had a high of 89 degrees. I just wanted to make a special shipment of snow to him. Alas some day Spring will get here and I will see my lawn again. Of course then I will be complaining about cutting the lawn. LOL
