PIMP: gateland & firefly_rumble

What makes this icontest so special? You can't be eliminated!! So any of you who love LIMS but don't like that one bad week can break you, this is the place for you. You get points for each challenge you enter, every vote you give, and every time you place. One week you could get no votes, the next week you could come in first...so there isn't the pass/fail mentality of the typical LIMS :)
So hurry and join! The first challenge can be found HERE. The focus is the episode "Objects In Space" so you can make any icon you like as long as it uses caps from that episode.

The other pimp of the day is for those of you who may not be artistically inclined but want to participate in a fun challenge community. You may have seen variations of whedonland popping up all over the place, well finally there is one for the Stargates, called gateland.
If you have no idea what this is, let me try and break it down. When you join, you'll be placed on a team of your choice (Team SG-1, Team Sheppard, Team Wraith, Team Goa'uld). Each week the mods will offer a few challenges for you to participate in to earn your team points. Sometimes it will be fic-writing, sometimes art-related, sometimes it will just be simple trivia games. If you're not good in one area, you can still earn points in others (and there are voting points...and everyone can vote :p). I've been playing the Jossverse version of this and I have to tell you it's a lot of fun, and is a great way to celebrate (or in my case, remember) the shows we forgot how much we loved! It's also a great chance to meet fellow fans.
