PIMP: Whedonland (New Community!)
Found this via one of my new livejournal friends, and it sounded like so much fun I decided to pimp it to the rest of you. I know there are quite a number of people on my friends list who are Whedon acolytes...or at the very least have seen one of his shows. If that sounds like you, check out whedonland
What is it? Well, for lack of a better description, it's a good time! Basically all participants are divided up into four teams (Angel, Buffy, Dollhouse, or Firefly). Through various contests and challenges, each team will attempt to earn points and beat their competitors. Teams even have their very own, private communities for discussion and in-group activities. Looks like a great way to meet new people and have some fun. So check it out if you have time!

What is Whedonland about?
It's an interactive community, with a sense of competition. You will be placed in one of the teams : Dollhouse, Serenity, Sunnydale or City of Angels. You will compete against the other teams to defeat the apocalypse first.
To defeat the apocalypse first, your team must have the greatest amount of points on the designated date (this will happen every FOUR MONTHS). You'll learn more about this as we go on.
How do i get points?
A number of ways...you can particpate in the icon communities, complete trivia games, write fic, and other assorted tasks that will come up. Particpation gets you points, winning gets you more points.
Each team will also have in-team activities and fun of their own!
What team will i be in? Can i choose?
Yes and no, teams will be even, so you hopefully have your first choice, but you may get put into any team. HAVE A LOOK AT THE MEMBERS LIST - you are most likely to be put onto the team with the least members at the time.
What if i hate my team
You can ask for a transfer, which will be granted on VERY RARE occasions, or you can leave the comm. Once you're in a team, it's preferrable that you stay there!
HOW DO I JOIN?
1. Apply for a team at this post You will be assigned a team, and then sent an invite to this community.
2. Once you are assigned a team, you can join your teams community, and start participating straight away!!!
WHAT DO I DO ONCE I HAVE A TEAM?
JOIN your home base - which can be found linked in the members list Also check out who your team leader is, depending on your team this will be either the HBIC, SLAYER, CAPTAIN or VAMPIRE WITH A SOUL
INTRODUCE yourself to your team, and begin the scheming on how you are going to defeat the apocolypse first.
