SGU Recast!

Made for a stargateland  challenge in which we were asked to recast three Stargate characters. It's hard to imagine different actors, but I did my best!  I chose SGU characters simply because they're the more malleable in my mind. I've recast Young (with Mark Valley), Wray (with Maria Bello), and Rush (with Michael Fassbender). I'm too lazy to write why I

Haven't watched much SGU, and am embarrassingly unfamiliar with the actors you cast, but you truly have a gift for composition, palette, & collage.

Aw, thanks! I kinda got bored with the vidding...and while I usually loathe making picspams, the pretty of these three was fun to work with!

The actors aren't hugely popular (Valley is more in TV)...but Fassbender is about to be Magneto in the new X-Men film.

Young is a...different take. I feel like the way he's written isn't particularly likable so I went out and cast the MOST likable actor I could think of to counteract that so the character would even out, lol. There's a reason to my madness...also, I love Mark Valley.

Ah I see, and he definitely looks more physically right for the role and would be more of a contrast for Rush.

Yeah, I think it would be interesting to watch. I just keep thinking of that movie The Prestige where you had one magician who was very charismatic and likable and the other very internal and complex (don't ask me why my brain goes to the places it goes)...MEANING, I enjoy seeing two actors who have completely different appeals/dynamics bouncing off of each other.

I think I'd like Rush a lot more if Fassbender played him...maybe on a superficial level, sure, but nonetheless!!

Mark Valley should be in everything. Ever. :P

Nothing like an appealing actor to make a (to me) unlikeable character more sympathetic and watchable! Not a Rush fan at all, obv.

I love Young, for the few eps I watched (kinda shipped him and the nurse chick a bit, lol *facepalm*), so the idea of Mark Valley playing him is awesome. And agreed!

I got so disillusioned with Human Target, haven't even watched the last few eps of s2. I want him to be in another show that I can watch. *pouts*

interesting choices. if i recall before SGU started casting, (maybe when the character descriptions were put out?) that some were hoping for mark valley as young.
