(transcribed from my notepad)
I have two friends with opposing views on the benefits of the good old fashioned pad-and-pen-style of writing. One feels an immediate and total block when faced with a blank paper. The other won't even leave her house without her stationary.
I've straddled the issue, leaning toward my electronic method. Yeah, I'm the crazy that drags my laptop and its stinking heavy accessories everywhere I go. But I also stuff that heavy backpack with a notebook and a forrest of pencils and pens.
Until right now I've only had them as a sort of security blanket. Today, however, I see their worth. See, when my laptop's battery (of which I have THREE - and I carry them ALL with me, explaining the HEAVY backpack) no longer seems capable of holding a charge, I've found that I can actually still write. This entry is proof as I'm currently writing it longhand at the local McDonald's.
And while it's nice to know that I CAN write without my computer, you'll notice that this is a journal entry and NOT one of my novels-in-progress, or even a fanfiction WIP.
BAH!
i'm just sayin'
