These are examples only, nothing is absolutely set in stone.. most of the time. If you think that something falls under one of the genres, claim it and we'll see what we see :)
For crossovers (pairings, tv series, etc.), BOTH categories must fit the requirements of the community.
The Supernatural genre is still being worked on, but generally I would consider anything having to do with ghosts, werewolves or vampires to be supernatural. Claims will be accepted (or rejected) on a case by case basis.
Acceptable: TV Series (whole series or single season only), Movies, Miniseries, Individual Characters, Group of Characters (Storm Troopers, Wizards, Villains, etc.), Pairings (slash is allowed, incest, threesomes and moresomes are not. Pairings do not have to be canon), Crossover (allowed if both meet the requirements of the community), Anime/Manga, Video Game Series that fall under the Science Fiction OR Supernatural OR Fantasy genres.
Not Acceptable: Period Dramas, Disney, Romantic Comedies, Comic Books, Cartoons, History based, Action Adventure, Reality Television,
If you are claiming an individual character, all submissions must be of that character from that series in that role. Not of the actor or actress portraying the character. Exceptions are made to a TV series that have been made into movies, TV series with an accompanying movie or book and spin-offs. If the character appears in both the TV series and Movie, you may use images from both the TV series and the Movie. Or, if the character appears in both a movie and a video game, you may use images from both the movie and video game.
If you are claiming a pairing, BOTH subjects MUST be in every icon.

Anime/Manga: Angel Sanctuary, Arc the Land, Bakugan, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, Bleach, Cardcaptor Sakura, Fruits Basket, Inuyasha, Magic Knight Rayearth, Oh My Goddess!, Slayers
Video Games: Final Fantasy (Series or Individual Games), any of the Harry Potter video games would also count here.
