Video Post [013] Accidental Recording

[To anyone familiar with the woman, the vision on the screen may not seem so out of place, even if the video is obviously accidental. Clothed only in a black and lacy number she's taken to wearing to bed for the last few weeks (it's an excellent idea to keep covered up when her most frequent visitor is a teenage boy who can phase effortlessly

Yes, this time. I don't think a phrase like that even needs any explanation considering how often this world enjoys rising up against us.

You mean how some of us thought we'd lived here our entire lives? Seems a little late to be remarking on that now.

I've apparently spent the last week sleeping.

[If her rumpled dress and hair don't get that message across, her half-lidded eyes certainly convey that she's spent far too long asleep. For a woman who is usually always alert, Naomi looks sluggish and ready to fall back into her bed.]

... That would explain it, yes.

[scientize]

[She's silent for a few moments as she lounges on top of her bed, debating on whether she cares enough to get up or not. It takes quite awhile, but she eventually straightens up on top of her blankets, stretching her thin arms up over her head.]

So, what did I miss?

[unfearful]

[Just. suddenly aware of her state and averting his eyes.]

... Things have been relatively peaceful since then.

[Though she wants to ask Dominic about his experiences with the false memories, the scientist fully understands that such a question would open up a discussion she does not want to have quite yet.]

Incredible. That's almost hard to believe.

The calm after a storm, I guess.

Apparently. We'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

Yeah...

[The woman sighs at the man as her gaze falls down to her left hand, an odd look passing across her face. Lifting it up to eye level, which allows Dominic to see just what she has discovered, Naomi is surprised to see that her plain wedding band is still sitting firmly on her ring finger.]

Now why didn't this disappear?

[unfearful]

[... What?]

You were--!?

Married? Yes.

[unfearful]

That's, um...

["Very potentially awkward" is probably the rest of that sentence.]

[scientize]

[It certainly is, even for the usually collected and cool Naomi. She won't mention the children.]

It wasn't real. My false husband will just have to get over it, even if that may be hard for him to deal with.
