Our family budget is seriously in the red right now. Like, seriously! My husband took a week's worth of unpaid time off for his ailing grand mother (and God bless her soul, since she has passed on since then). Then, I totally neglected the fact that my daughter's tuition does not stop charging our credit card over the summer months. I thought we'd get a reprieve from her school tuition over the summer. Goddamn, was I fucking wrong. Then, since my husband got a new job, we lost the company paid cellphone and gas card that comes with his old job. So we had to buy a shiny new teched-out cellphone (since he needs it for his new job), add a data package to our family's cellphone plan, and pay for gas for his one-hour-each-way commute to his current work.
And of course, when I thought things couldn't get any worse and we were just trying to hang on until the next paycheck, I find out that my lovely, lovely car, Ronan, did not pass its safety and emission inspection. The guy who inspected it said that he'd be more than happy to fix it for us for 1000-2000 dollars, but to be honest, he thinks we're better off trading the damn thing and buying a new car. Which means we'll have to start adding monthly car payments to our monthly family budget. Coz I needs me a car. Goddamn.
I swear, our family does not live extravagantly. WTF?
new car,
money makes the world go round
