Say...Konrad are you busy? I was wondering if we could talk or something. If not I completely understand...

In the mean time I should see about picking up around the place. I've been keeping myself busy with work and my research it's been...impossible to focus on anything else. [Small sigh, before smiling a bit] Though I'll admit it's going to be ( Read more... )

You shouldn't overwork yourself too much. I hear that leads to premature wrinkling of the face and graying hair.

Gray hair I believe, but the wrinkles I don't think I can. Over work and stress are completely different things. Scientifically speaking over working means a lack of sleep - which can cause drowsiness, but I don't recall reading about wrinkles.

...Now you have me concerned.

If it helps any, I was only kidding.

Good to hear from you, though.

Don't you think that's a little cruel to say to a woman, Mr. Wright?

You too. How have you been doing? Sorry I've been so busy...

I'll keep that in mind.

It's alright. I just overheard a lot of people disappearing lately.

I've been alright. Trying to keep Trucy out of trouble, mainly. I'm thinking of heading over to the bar soon for employment, but I was waiting for you to head over with me so you could put in a good word or two for me.

Disappearing? Care to elaborate?

That shouldn't be too hard. I'd ask what kind of trouble a fifteen year old girl could get into but I know full well what exactly indeed.

You shouldn't have to worry too much, I've already said enough. Why don't you join me for grocery shopping and we'll head over before we get the food?

I don't know a lot about it, but some people have mentioned others vanishing on the network.

At least the house is still standing.

Sure. I'm not very good at grocery shopping, but I can at least push the cart.

That's...a bit upsetting. I'll have to check that out. I've been so focused I've forgotten most of my research comes from the network.

That's good!

Don't worry about it, though shouldn't you know how to grocery shop? Or do you make Trucy do all of the work?

Yeah, I'm sure there's someone out there who's experienced it first hand that you could discuss it with.

Well, she usually is unhappy about what I buy, but yes, I do the shopping.

It's a touchy subject though...it'd be almost cruel to ask.

We'll have to teach you then. Can't have the girl living on chips and snacks.

...Last I checked, potatoes were vegetables.

[He's kidding, but his serious face is too serious.]

Fried potatoes aren't healthy you know. She's a growing girl.

[He chuckles a bit.]

Yeah, I know. That's why I figured I'd stick with pizza for a while.

Mr. Wright! [Laughs] Pizza is just as bad!

But the sauce is made of tomatoes.. that's healthy, isn't it?

For the longest time, it seems like I ate nothing but burgers.. and that has to be better than that, at least.

Phoenix...I'll give you that but not on pizza.

That's it. I'll meet you at your home. We're going grocery shopping for both of us before your daughter starves.
