My merits as a housekeeper
Had a pleasant dinner with John to-night. I called a favour from an old family cook (who undoubtedly is to blame for my brother's weight troubles). She made us confit au cuisses de canard a la Lyonnaise, and we had a nice evening. He couldn't stay, but it was good to chat with someone who appreciates my work.
