Could someone please explain to me why I have to create 6,500 persimmons, and how this is a reasonable use of SRDI time and funds?

Aizen is unlikely to consume 6,500 persimmons himself. More likely, this is a test of some kind. No, I will not be a part of it.

Somehow I doubt that he would waste his time ordering Soul Society to provide him with 6,500 persimmons.

It is not a waste of his time, Hisagi-taichou. (Or Shuuei-taichou. I haven't cared enough to learn which is his surname and which isn't.)

It is a waste of the Gotei 13's time.
