So, firefox has been shutting down, and now I have to use explorer to update. LAME.
Less than 3 weeks in the semester. I'm done with exams, except for finals. So, I have that and the massive paper, and I'm done. Pretty crazy. This has been a really good semester though. Amazingly enough. And then I start my last year as an undergrad. I almost wrote "here," but then realized that I might be staying. And that, my friends, is a scary thought.
Science literacy (or lack thereof) drives me crazy. Oh my goodness! The crap some people will believe. In colloquium, we've read some diet books (that use body typing as criteria). And there is some absolutely silly things in there. And people believe it. One listed air and water as macronutrients and mentioned the DNA helix (it's a double helix, gosh darn it)! And this pseudoscience sells like none other. I'm pretty sure that if you have letters after your name and use a few big-scientific-sounding words, you could tell the world to eat nitrogenous plant fertilizer and they would do it.
Still looking for a place to live (and roommate) for the summer. This will be my first summer to stay in N-town. This could be interesting. A lot of people will be here though, so that will keep me sane and not over-working myself.
