Ema: *It had been a very long time since Ema had last visited the prosecutor’s office building, but she wanders around it easily enough. Heading for one office in particular to pay a... a totally not at all fan-girlish or anything un-cool or lame like that visit to Mr. Edgeworth*
Klavier: *is in his office, sitting with his back to the open door. He's playing the acoustic guitar he's become accustomed to keeping there in the office, strumming a few random chords and humming along to no tune in particular*
Klavier: I should... probably play something... *mumbles to himself*
Klavier: *begins to pick at the strings, attempting to check if the guitar is tuned. Once satisfied, he starts a steady rhythm, tapping his foot a little to keep the beat as he begins to sing; loud enough to be heard outside the office, knowing there's nobody to bother right now*
Klavier: Sometimes I feel so happy; sometimes I feel so sad. Sometimes I feel so happy; but mostly you just make me mad. Baby, you just make me mad...
Ema: *Ema stops on her way down yet another -vaguely- familiar hallway, frowning to herself at the soft strumming of a guitar*
Ema: ... No way... *she mumbles, this time creeping slowly down the hall to an opened door-- not yet willing to peak inside*
Klavier: *continues to play; oblivious to Ema's presence*
Klavier: Linger o~~n... Your pale blue eyes. Li~nger o~n... your pa~le blue eyes...
Ema: *She stands quietly just beside the doorframe, unsure whether or not to actually take a peak in-- see if it really is who she thinks, or just... hold tight, and enjoy the soft song while it lasted*
Klavier: *continues the song; eyes closing behind his sunglasses*
Klavier: Thought of you as my mountain top; thought of you as my peak. Thought of you as everything I've had but couldn't keep. I've but couldn't keep... Linger o~n, your pale blue eyes... Li~nger o~n... Your pa~le blue eyes...
Ema: *She takes a brief moment to straighten her lab coat and tuck her bangs back behind her ear, before she steps into the doorframe*
Ema: ... *Still, she holds her tongue, fighting to keep her brows from furrowing too much too fast as she watches him play on*
Klavier: If I could make the world are pure and... strange as what I see? I'd put you in the mirror, I put in front of me. I put in front of me. Linger o~n, your pale blue eyes. Li~nger o~n, your pa~le blue eyes...
Ema: *She folds her arms slowly, gaze focused on Klav* ...... *Finally, she clears her throat softly, just barely loud enough to be heard over the sound of his own voice and strumming*
Klavier: *abruptly stops strumming; holding the strings flat to stop the sound from resonating*
Klavier: *he turns his chair all the way around, pushing his sunglasses down the bridge of his nose*
Klavier: ...Oh. I thought it was one of my bosses.
Klavier: ...Can I help you?
Ema: *She almost appears taken aback for a second, before shrugging*
Ema: Not really. I was just on my way to visit... a friend.
Ema: I didn't know they allowed those in here though. *She motions with a nod towards the guitar*
Klavier: *shrugs*
Klavier: They said I could hab it as long as I didn't disturb anybody.
Klavier: Most people on this floor don't mind me playing anyways.
Ema: I find that kind of hard to believe. *She leans against the doorframe, quirking a brow*
Klavier: *he smirks a little*
Klavier: Only one who minds is out for the rest of the day.
Ema: Huh... *Shrugs herself up from the doorframe, casting a quick glance back over her shoulder*
Ema: Speaking of that, maybe you can help me. I'm looking for someone's office, actually.
Ema: I'm pretty sure he was gonna be here today, but... *another small shrug* I don't know exactly where his office is.
Klavier: *he raises an eyebrow* Who ist it? Ah, their name, I mean.
Ema: *Puffs up with an obviously pleased smile* Oh, Mr. Miles Edgeworth.
Klavier: *uninterested, turns in his chair, back towards Ema as he starts to strum on his guitar again* End of this hallway; only other door on this side of the floor.
Ema: *Ema gapes, before scowling at the back of his head* O-Oh. Thanks so much. *She glares, turning on her heel to step back out of his office*
Klavier: *returns to playing his guitar, tapping his foot to the beat* Dri~fting away, back into swe~et slumber a~gain~ I'm waiting for you to bring me ba~ck to li~fe some day~~
Ema: *Her hand braces against the door, listening silently once more* ... Whatever. *She huffs, shaking her head a bit to herself before walking briskly back out*
Klavier: *smirks a little, knowing Ema will be back; singing loud enough for her to faintly hear him as she walks down the hall to Edgeworth's office*
Klavier: Wake up from bliss now that the ni~ght has come to pa~ss, I'm now dreaming of a li~fe I hope to li~ve onn day~~
Ema: *Sure enough, before long Ema was stomping back to Klavier's office, a dark scowl plastered across her features* You lied. *She accuses, folding her arms beneath her chest once more*
Ema: The stupid door is locked and no-one is there!
Klavier: *turns in his chair with a bit of a grin, letting his sunglasses fall down the bridge of his nose once more* You asked me where his office was. I told you.
Ema: *She splutters* Y-You neglected to tell me that he wasn't even there, though! That's still bad enough!
Klavier: *shrugs* I said the only person who doesn't like me playing wasn't here today.
Klavier: You're welcome to wait here for a bit im case he comes back though.
Ema: I should have known that's who you meant... Of course Mr. Edgeworth wouldn't like the racket... *she mumbles partially to herself, before directing a scowl back up towards Klavier*
Ema: Are you sure there's a chance he'll be coming back today?
Klavier: I really don't know, but you can wait a few more minutes for him if you want. Keep the door open, you'll see him walk past if he comes back...
Klavier: But you know, a girl of your age really should be in school right now...
Ema: ! I... had a half-day, today. *her tone is defensive, though she takes a seat near his desk regardless-- turning the chair sideways so that she could easily see out the door*
Klavier: *strums a few random chords* Any requests, if you are going to be here a while?
Ema: Yeah, actually. You can stop sounding so smug already. Anyone ever tell you how annoying that is? *she snapped, lowering her brows*
Klavier: I can try but since you know Edgeworth I assume you'd be used to smug.
Ema: N-No way! He is NOT smug at all!
Klavier: *strums a few chords* Of course he's not.
Ema: Tch. What do you have against him, anyways? Just the music thing? It's an office building, of course there's gonna be people who won't like music playing.
Klavier: Nein, nein. It's the way he carries himself. *shrugs her words off* It doesn't matter, part of growing up is not dwelling on things... *he smirks* Which is why I'm not mad you never called, after gibbing me your word.
Ema: *Ema sits upright in her chair, flushing hard as she snaps her gaze back onto Klav* Whoa-- I never told you that I would actually call!
Klavier: *shrugs* When I gave you my number and told du to call, you said okay. Don't feel bad though, I never figured you would call me anyways. I'm not all that into you anyways.
Ema: Ooh, woe is me. *she snaps quickly, brows drawn low* I guess your types are the groupie girls that follow after your band or something?
Klavier: *shakes his head and chuckles* I'm sorry, I prefer a girl with a little class.
Ema: Like you have much of it yourself? *she retorts with a fresh scowl*
Klavier: *slips his sunglasses down his nose, raising an eyebrow* Perhaps not, but the right girl could set me straight...
Ema: *Ema fidgets, caught quite off guard* ... Yeah right.
Klavier: Well, Edgeworth's lunch break was over about twenty minutes ago. He's either gone for the day or out at a crime scene. So, if you want I should pick you up for dinner tomorrow at seben, it kann be done.
Ema: ... W-What..... *She puffs up for a second, before narrowing her eyes at the man* Whatever happened to not being in to me, huh?
Klavier: Oh, I just like seeing your ears turn pink and that cute little gleam in your eye when you are annoyed.
Ema: *Once more Ema was spluttering* S-Shut up! *her cheeks fast to flush despite herself*
Klavier: So, I take you out tomorrow, ja? Pick you up at seben?
Ema: Pff. *Ema stands, brushing a stray strand of hair back over her shoulder* With your kind of attitude? No way.
Klavier: *he stays silent a moment, looking thoughtfully over to Ema*
Klavier: *sits ups straight and taps his foot as he starts to play his guitar quickly* Ema appeared like an angel; Ema fell like rain. Into my lap like a heart attack, like lightning from her name...
Ema: *A flustered sort of splutter escapes the girl, and she stares red-faced* .......O-Okay! Okay, just.. just stop that--!
Ema: Only once, okay? Just one dinner and you're paying, and it has... has to be somewhere... like McBurgers, okay? Nothing... weird or flashy.
Klavier: Sure. Selbstverstän-- of course. McBurgers for a malt and then to a moving picture show at the cinema? *he winks playfully at her*
Ema: Dinner only. *she says firmly, starting back towards the door* And I'll call you tomorrow to let you know where to pick me up.
Klavier: *raises an eyebrow at her* And you promise you will call this time?
Ema: *She rolls her eyes* This time, yeah, I promise.
Klavier: *puts his guitar down on the desk and walks beside Ema to the door* Tell me tomorrow where to pick you up, und remember to wear pants. Even though you look really cute in your uniform's skirt. *smirks*
Ema: *Ema glares, flustered as she exits the office room* W-Whatever.
Klavier: Oh, Ema?
Ema: ... What?
Klavier: Du forgot this.
Ema: *She turns to face him, frowning lightly* I didn't bring anything in with me--
Klavier: *kisses her cheek* Okay. Bye. *closes the door to avoid getting smacked*
Ema: AUGH, H-HEY! *The girl rages on the other side of Klav's door, banging on it with a fist* You creep! You're damn lucky if I even bother to call you tomorrow!
