A Sciathan Miscellany

Wooooo!

This is gonna be a random post.

I've been to Kilkenny two weekends ago and stayed with farmers in Cork last weekend (which was awesome in many ways).

Stealing liberally from an e-mail to my family, here is the dirt on Kilkenny, as well as pictures )

random, incoherent fangirling, harry potter, tamakixharuhi, school, ouran, real life, ireland

*waves* I hope it's okay to friend you? I love Ouran High School Host Club and your FRoP forum posts are very interesting, so... yeah. And I'm going to read your fanfics now. ^_^ *rubs hands*

Please feel free to squeal incoherently with me. :)
*squeals*

It's amazing. Tamaki x Haruhi is not even my #1 favorite Ouran High School Host Club pairing (I like it, but I'm also a faithful Kyouya x Haruhi supporter, even if the ship is practically dead at this point... but yeah, I have my own quirky preferences), but this chapter makes me squee. Eee! ^_^ Haruhi! Tamaki! *^-^*

Host Club is, by virtue of genre alone, a love comedy.
Oh, definitely. I mean, sure, some people want to see characters who don't need love... erm, well. Death Note has a whole bunch of such characters. ^^; But Ouran High School Host Club is all about various forms of love. Most shoujo fans WANT to see love and that's what shoujo is normally about. It's natural, isn't it? ^^; I'm perfectly happy with this sort of development. It was meant to happen at some point, and it ( ... )

Friend away! I collect Ouran fans, it seems. Especially those fond of geeky analytical discussion...which could be good or bad. <3 You'll have your work cut out for you reading fic...some of them are....long.

If I bought into this OTP thing (which I don't, because if you can make the character dynamics work, I like it), Tamaki x Haruhi would be it. Really, however, I'm just a very big Tamaki lover, because I find his character to be so incredibly interesting that I think I could try to figure it out and never really succeed. KyouyaxHaruhi intrigues me in a way that its interesting because it seems incomprehensible to me (did that make any sense?), but I have seen fic and such where it does somehow work. In my opinion, Tamaki really either needs to be mediating it or dead for it to happen in terms of character dynamics, however.

I agree, the down with love attitude is awesome...but not in the comedy and romance genre...Death Note can do whatever it wants in that arena because its thriller/action/detective fiction, essentially ( ... )

*laughs* That's fine, I want to read some long stories, especially because I myself am a drabble writer (and English is my second language, so it's a bit hard for me to write long, detailed stuff)... ^_^;

Oh, yeah, I understand. Well, Kyouya and Haruhi are my favorite Ouran High School Host Club characters (along with Mori, whom I don't really ship with anyone at this point), so I guess I just like all sorts of interaction between them, and it's fun to see them as a couple, but... yeah, it's impossible to ignore Tamaki. But that's what makes them interesting, I suppose - you need to think and try hard in order to make them work well, so it's a nice ( ... )

I don't have the copy of DH with me, but I'm pretty dang sure the description is "The last thing that shall be conquered is Death."

As the tombstone and what it says has stuck with me for quite awhile. ^_^

As for Ouran? I think I squealed mentally when I read over the chapter.

>.> I think we can safely say the pairing's canon, now.

And people love to through a fit about anything they can throw a fit over, because it is human nature to argue. Honestly, you have to learn to be happy with canon, even when the Canon ship ends up blowing a hole in yours. That's what fanfiction is for.

And, out of morbid curiosity, did the "intestine pudding" taste good?

Your icon is winful. I wish it were that way!

That sounds very much like what it should be. And that scene was one of those in DH where I was like, "Harry, you need a hug!" I probably, now that I think coherently could find it on the internets...but I have to wait for my beta reader anyways (poor thing, has to go through 25 pages!), so I have time. :) Actually, I just looked it up through my google history (my searches are plain weird), and it is "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."

You bet it's canon! *feels sense of validation* This is...not even canon...this is just, I don't even know, genre confusion? But there is canon, choose to ignore it though some people do.

And yes, it tastes better than you expect.

Personally, I was rooting for Haruhi and Kyouya boinking like rabbits.

This has apparently not happened yet.

But it's Bisco Hatori... it always could. *laughs*

"Boinking like rabbits" makes me giggle and that image is so awesomely wrong and...awesome.

If Hatori makes them boink like rabbits, I'll be greatly amused and very shocked all at once.

I believe the inscription was The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
And Ouran 55.... *incoherent keyboard smash with capslock* ♥
