I know about being shy! I used to get so nervous before posting anything up (still do sometimes...especially when going into new fandoms where they might kill me).

And fic is a good venue to experiment with style and form and stucture, although you get kind of spoiled having pre-fabricated characters at your disposal when you go back to original fiction (you mean I have to think of names?) ^_^
