Woot! I hope your O-chem exam went well (if you are indeed done). But I am glad it was worth the wait.
Angsty!Sirius is very much stalking and eating my brain at the moment (there shall be massive amounts of Sirius fic when I am done with a few requests)...also, I wasn't really sure about Harry's characterization at all (I hadn't been expecting to write him...he just came out). But I imagine that after the hustle and bustle of the war he'd have to go someplace to ponder and put it all together and grieve. That boy must be traumatized beyond belief. Although I have to admire Rowling's courage to write an adolescent as an adolescent and not the sanatized version literature often gets.
The James and Lilly thing came out of the thought that, with a few notable exceptions, the entire older generation has been more or less wiped out. The Black family, in particular, is decimated, as well (You have...Andromeda and the Malfoys...the end).
I also think (even as someone who wrote it and knew what was going on) that this benefits from re-readings...the non-linear thing and my poor tendency to unceremoniously drop readers into conversations with no context are a little conduscive to confusion at first. :)
And portraits are fascinating. If you think about them too often, they'll eat your brain. <3

Disregard that last bit...I realized you were going to be the recipient of my shiny Sirius and the Muggle convertible fic (an idea I am rather proud of, in fact). <3
O-chem was blarg. exams went better than midterm or so I hope *fingers crossed* and I'm still deathly afraid of getting my final mark =_=;
regarding HP: it hurts me so much that the Marauder generation is DEAD. Like that was one of my biggest issues with Remus' death and made me WTF in rage. And I am impressed wih Harry's sanity at the end of it all (although it took like 7 books for me to like He Who Is Spoken Of With Reverence =P)
HEEE! Sirius/Convertibles = LOVE. though I must say, Angsty!Sirius kind of also owns my soul along with his crazy alterego. There's something about that man, a breakout character if I've ever seen one and just yeah *fangirls*. Words don't do him justice.
And, at least all the Marauders are together again (although I hope they hex Pettigrew out of the afterlife amazingly.) I was kinda sad Remus and Pettigrew's demises didn't get so much screentime. It, surprsingly, didn't make an impact on me...whereas Dobby and Kreacher and Hedwig were like...OH! Oh He Who Is Spoken Of With Reverance...you need a convenient acronym.
Sirius is going to be getting some serious (no pun intended) fic time from me, as I have a lot of ideas of various backstory fics. But yeah. The convertible one will come right after I finish the current one off where is he captured by a suit of armor. <3
