Yay! I was afraid my edits may have been too late or under the wire... Love the edits and additions you made, and as I said before what a refreshing and unique story.

The two perfect places to showcase this fic is post_dh_fic and genfic_hogwarts.

No! I waited for you! Thanks muchly for the comments...especially for the Snape portrait. He really needed to do some more glaring and general scowling.

genfic_hogwarts looks fairly awesome (I haven't gotten the chance to check out the other yet...but I don't really ship anything for HP, so I'll probably write gen for the most parts.

Thank you again! This was a blast to write (and now I will work on some Marauders fic, by request....really, Sirius/Muggle Convertibles is my HP OTP if anything.) ^_^

Oh the other one means Deadly Hallows, not Draco/Harry... XD But yay, I'm glad to have helped. =D

I ship a lot of different couples in HP but I also do <3 Gen fics that are intriguing and give new light to things. I'm not a canon shipper it seems save for Severus/Lily. XD But yesh, definitely post at those comms and I'm sure you'll get a few more loverly comments. I've already recced on my own journal and so it seems that one of my friends have too. =3

Woot! Posted to both and thank you thank you thank you for the rec/pimpage (I was gone for the weekend without internet access, so this is coming a bit late!).

(And I have to laugh at Severus/Lily...because a year ago someone requested that from me and I was like..."I can't really see that..." And it's funny that crack became canon.)

Wow, this is amazing... I love all the details of how a portrait is greated, and of Harry asking for a portrait of his parents. The scene with the hanging of Snape's portrait is one that I could definitely see happening! This is a great fic, and one I'll remember for a long time.

Thank you! I've always wondered about how portraits are made in the HP-verse and the idea really ate my head. And Snape's portrait and reputation need love in the post-DH world.

This was really, really great. I've often wondered about the wizarding portraits and how they come to be and I think you've explained it beautifully here. Well done!

Well, I always look at the portraits and think, "Now, how did that get there?" because I am, admittedly, a little eccentric. Also, I was very intrigued after OotP how Harry tried every other possible avenue but getting a portrait done of Sirius...and, at least in the case of the Hogwarts Headmasters, that seems to stand very well for a person.

This is phenomenol. You took a part of the HP world we really don't think about and gave it depth and meaning. Listening to Harry at the end was heart breaking, the poor kid. Her boggart description was so powerful as well. Nice job

Now everyone will be forever suspicious of portraits. <3 I think what would really irk any artist is unfinished work...especially something of that magnitude. And after all was said and done, Harry needed some time off for a good long while.
