I think you're right, it probably did lose a little atmosphere and horror just from the rapid pacing, but on the other hand it was a pretty good example of how to do a one-parter and not have it feel rushed or essentially plot-free, as has been the case more than once in the past.

I thought it was a good Dalek story, as opposed to simply a story with Daleks in, as is so often the way. We've been overdue one of those, I think.

I liked Oswin, and well, we can only speculate as yet as to what her connection to the mysterious "Clara" might be. Feel sorry that it has come to this for Amy and Rory, but I continue to enjoy the characters and the actors, just not necessarily the way their story has panned out. I hope they get a decent send-off.

Yes, Dalek parliaments imply Dalek elections, which...? O.o

I like the way Moffat has essentially normalised the Daleks' place in the in the Whoniverse so that their every appearance doesn't have to be yet another universe-threatening return from the dead. I don't know how the forgetting the Doctor thing will work out, though, but I'm sure he's got a plan in mind.

Anyway, I thought it was a decent opener. Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, on the other hand...I will reserve judgement for now. ;)
