More news.
I walked up to the office today (about 2 miles), and it turns out the person I thought was the one who was scared of me wasn't. The one who was scared of me was a 5'7" pregnant woman, so I really can't blame her for being frightened of the big guy goin' nuts. The other drove me home, and ironically enough, it turns out she's a total vampire freak, and I never knew it, and she never knew about my lup.... er... is there a coyote-specific '-ine'?... were-side.
I didn't get my job back, but I knew that yesterday when I went in to see my boss (he wasn't there) and I saw them training a new front desk person. Still, we parted well, and my boss even said that after the memories fade a bit, he'd consider having me come in on a contract basis for a few days to help setup and configure the new software system to do everything they wanted to do. I'm also getting a glowing reference, 2-week severance pay, -and- unblocked unemployment. They've treated me -very- well, and I'll happily continue to keep in touch and steer business to them. (.... so if you're ever in a car accident in the MD/DC/VA area, call Nickelsporn & Lundin at 301-942-9118. :P)
I have also just managed to snag a replacement phone, same exact model, -unlocked-, for $181 (incl S&H) off Ebay. Considering the best the AT&T store was willing to do was $225 for the phone and some extra fees, I'm quite happy with this. Interestingly, this is in fact my first purchase from ebay.
So... anyone know of any jobs looking for a yote? :)
