Got my
New Balance trainers from
JJB Sports. Let me tell you - I expected these to be more expensive. Nike, Adidas, Reebok et al claim that by having their shoes made overseas by Vietnamese, Philipino & Chinese people on starvation wages somehow helps them keep the price down. Nike's RRPs are in the region of £50-150. My New Balance shoes cost me £25.00, marked down from an RRP of £39.99. They're comfortable too. Really good trainers, as worn by Steve Jobs, apparently. Completely vegan-friendly - no animal products, produced in the UK and not in sweatshops. I'm amazed they're not in more retail shops, but you can get them at JJB at least.
Stoked, utterly. :-)
