I know - I feel sorry for Kakashi. 20+ yrs of mourning a death that didn't happen. Now I need to know what happened to Rin. C'mon, Kishi, tell us what happened to her as well. Hell, at least give us a clan name so we know what family mourns her loss. Hell, for that matter, give us a last name for Tenten. I'm tired of building head canon for her.

It's sad, I look forward to her filler episodes because we don't get enough of the weapon-wielding queen! (:

agreed - one of my head canons for Tenten is a slight crossover with Samurai Deeper Kyo (I was hooked on the series for a while) - I had her being Yukimura's niece. It was crack, I'd admit it in a heart beat, but at least it gave her a family to deal with. Another was that she got called Tenten merely because Gai misread her file where it was "Tientien" since she has that slightly Chinese fashion sense.

One of the head canons I bat around for Rin is that she's from Kiba's clan, merely because of the cheek markings. Possibly would have been his aunt if she lived. And possibly married to either Obito or Kakashi. Leaning towards Obito since I usually have Kakashi marrying a recrafted Lady Kayura from Yoroiden Samurai Troopers XD

Oh I've never seen/read that, but anything when Tenten has a family is good to me! My headcanon is similar to that, in that Gai at first has a horrible time remembering her name because she doesn't settle on her main skill at first lol. "Renren? Lenlen?" I should really write something centered around Tenten, actually.

Same! I don't say she is exactly from his clan, but a sister clan, similar to the Ino-Shika-Cho relationship. I love Rin x Obito so much. I'm actually doing a Naruto RP rn and I think that's where it's heading, we both like them endgame lol.

agreed - my fic'ing tends to settle around Team Seven. I need to branch out a bit and focus on other teams really need to do something with Chouji since I've become fond of him

And that makes a world of sense - the sister clan thing ::nods:: The cheek marks aren't quite the same but a sister clan makes a ton of sense. if I can convince my friends, maybe I could bring Rin back. I only just managed to sneak Obito in, granted, I couldn't make him the bad guy canon has him has. I'm leaving that to Madara XD

And, ugh, I need to get back to the alternate universes I've been kicking around for Naruto. One's half inspired by the poem "The Highwayman" (it's the time frame and some of the characters are counterparts) ::needs to do a state of the ficcery post:: XD

I want to say I love Team Seven the most, but it's really Team Kakashi (The team where Yamato steps in along with Sai.) It's just me not liking Sasuke at all, though. I like the dynamic he has with Naruto and Sakura, but I can't find myself caring enough about his character, if that makes any sense? Not trying to say he sucks, I'm just not interested in his story. I think I'm going to write a Team Gai short soon, focusing on Tenten and Gai working together somehow. I wish they interacted more!

Lol, I'm about to write (well, attempt to write) a Naruto fanfiction settled in Samurai Champloo's universe. AU fics are just so much fun!

hell, I'd like the females to have a ladies' night so they get some screen time (when was the last time we saw the girls actually be girls and do something goofy.) The boys get way too much screentime ::laughs::

and yeah, it makes sense - I like Sasuke a lot, but I'd love to have his story make sense (like, why did Mikoto give up being a jonin? How is Obito related to him? How did his parents meet since there's a five year gap between them? etc)

Oooh, that fic sounds like it'll be fun to read even if I have no idea what Samurai Champloo is about. I have a ton of AUs like one set in a non-massacre universe with more then a healthy hint of the Phantom of the Opera - and of the acid flung into face version from the Herbert Lom/Claude Raines versions; one where Itachi did take the eyes so yes, Sasuke is alive but blind; a cyborg one that's kind of just giving me the look that "okay, I'm here, do something with me"; and yet another where the Uchihas (well, with the exception of Mikoto/Obito) are dragons - it's the whole firebreathing

We need more female moments so people stop pitting them against each other. :/ The boys do get so much screen time, love them but...more fierce female moments! Most Tenten fanfiction I read involves her hanging out with her fellow kunoichi now that I think about it, I guess I have a specific want from the show lol.

Ooo check Samurai Champloo out sometime, it's not too long, and if you have Netflix, it's currently on there. (: (I am SUCH a sucker for Beauty and the Beast AUs! The dragon thing would make SO much sense, too. I love the Uchiha's ease with fire, how they have the fans to even show that. If you write this I will read it over and over. All of these concepts seem interesting, really. It's just always a chore of planning things out sometimes.)

Agreed - hell, I'd love an episode where Mei (the Godaime Mizukage) and Tsunade do something together since they're what, the only female kages we've seen in the series? That alone should be worth an episode or two of them comparing notes about what they have to deal with (I mean, hell, she's got to have a Naruto analogue in her village)

Oh, believe me, I'm working several fics at once (I'm like a hamster who's seen something shiny.. oooh, shiny) - one of which is a Beauty and the Beast one (I have plans with at least one, maybe using that with the dragons). The whole breathing fire thing just made me think dragon I just need to figure out what kind of dragon they'd be or if they'd be different ones based on personality. I'd probably have to read the manual for D&D just to see which type fits them. But that's the next one to be typed up after I deal with the current paragraph thing (so much paran abuse in that opening paragraph XD)
