Thanksgiving!
Huzzah so its Thanksgiving Break and my 2nd round of exams are over. I ended up rocking them this time I got an 86 in biochem, a 93 in gross anatomy, and a 100 in psychomotors and a 100 in Palpations. Anatomy lab has been pretty fun lately I got to cut away the thoracic cavity with a bone saw and removed the lungs and heart which was pretty neat. Now I just have 3 weeks after thanksgiving vacation and I'll be done my 1st trimester. It really seemed to go fast. Another good thing is i'm starting to find people who are more like me personality wise. A good barometer I use to find people with the same humor as me is to show them certain clips on youtube that I find hilarious and then base judgment on their reaction to it. My group friends found the GI Joe PSA spoof clips absolutely hilarious especially porkchop sandwitches

I got to go back to karate for the sweatathon yesterday which was pretty awesome. Its always great to see how everyone is doing back there and its comforting to see that some people never change. The only thing that was different is they actually fixed the lights in the ceiling so it was so bright in there it was amazing and you didn't have to know the combination to the light switch to get them all to turn on lol. I have to remember to pick up some new nunchucks during christmas break to replace the ones I broke at school. Teaching karate at NYCC has been going pretty good. I have 6 ppl now who are interested in it and coming regularly.
Last weekend I ended up watching Ferris Beauler's day off with my friends, its such an entertaining movie but this is the 1st time that I saw it in a few years and one quote from the movie really stuck with me. Ferris says it at the beginning and the end of the movie "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." Thinking about that I noticed how quickly these 12 weeks of grad school went and how its really easy to get caught in in all the stress and work and forget about all the people that are important to you in your life. I realized that its important to take a little bit of time to see how everyone else is doing so I don't drift out of their lives completely. I think this will be really beneficial and help me remember who I am and what is important to me. So I am going to try to put some more time aside to catching up with my friends from now on.
I have the rest of this week off then I'm going back on Sunday and classes start again monday. I have 1 week of classes then lab finals the following week and lecture finals the last week to finish up my 1st trimester. I get like 12 exams in 10 days so thats going to be a good time so I think I need to go study a bit for them and eat some Tryptophan.
