(no subject)
Last night me Nikki Joe and Chelsea went to go see 30 days of night which was like this generic vampire gore movie. Here are a few things I learned by watching it:
- Alaskans are a hearty people who don't need to eat much for 30 days
- They can also sleep in the snow for days without freezing to death
- Alaskan medical treatment consists mainly of mercy decapitations
- Snowplows are an effective defense against vampire attack
- if you inject yourself with vampire blood it gives you the power to box a herd of vampires so hard you can punch one through their mouth and out the back of their head. I also assume they had prior training from Eric Butler.
- You apparently don't actually have to write an ending for your movie to have it shown in theaters. I think the script writer's head popped off his head that morning (ala brian regan) and he went "Oh no thats due today."
Overall the graphics and gore were ok by todays standards but it just didn't make up for the lack of substance and plot. I give it a 1 out of 5.
Other than that my short week after fall break has been pretty busy and I'm gearing up for an extended gut check week. I get my biostats exam tuesday, comp anatomy exam friday,a lab practical in like 2 weeks, biochem acetyl coa project due this friday,and a biochem exam monday. So its about that time of the year again which sucks but after its over I'll be pumped. I also get to finish my star wars presentation for goldstein's class that I began today. Thats the only fun part of my work this semester. I'm doing my presentation on "star wars the phenomenon" so its going to be super easy to get people to talk about and its something i will actually enjoy doing rather than most of my work which i do in order to graduate from this place.Everything is going pretty well other than all the work i have to do. I ended up getting a 92 on the sci fi midterm so i was pumped about that. Other than that I'm just putting my head down and getting ready to take on all my upper level bios this week. i think thats about it for now I'll leave you with this:
