Still 1K!-ing away!
That was totally worth it!
It was tricky getting started, but again, once I got going on “Dragon”, a lot of the scenes wrote themselves. I’m really starting to become fond of AU Azula and Zuko and their relationship. I’m still going to have to go back and do a crapton of work on Book One once the rough draft is complete. But again, I’m forcing myself not to stress and get OCD yet, it’s a rough draft, let it be rough.
As before my main goal for this AU is to not just throw Azula in there but not change anything else. I’m trying to make sure that events change to show the alterations (though that will be more significant the further in I go, not quite so in the very beginning.) And I want to make the effort to show the changes to the characters. Like I said I’m really starting to get a good feel for Zuko, Azula and Iroh’s altered characters. (I need an easy term for those three…the Fire Gang?) In some ways the altered aspects of their characters is subtle, but I’m looking forward to diving into the source and long-term effects of those changes.
Anyways, I’m still not sleeping much, but managed to get my 1,000 words today (1,008 to be precise), and all for “Dragon” no less. XD. So yeah, I’ve been awake since five this morning, and it’s three in the afternoon now and I haven’t had lunch yet so…Time to eat.
