Before I start with the pictures, let me just say this much: The Granada Sherlock Holmes series is great. They had money and they loved Sherlock Holmes and you can see it in every shot.
Then a few words to Jeremy Brett: freeze frame doesn't do him justice. His face is always moving, doing strange and subtle things. How he's watching people or very explicitly doesn't look at annoying people when he's talking to them is awesome. How he's talking. How he's moving. Sometimes he's dancing around the scene, sometimes he's quietly snickering to himself about something. Basically you spend half the time watching him wondering what's going on in his head.
For introductory purposes here a picture of him generally looking like Sherlock Holmes because of the hat but otherwise kind of bland:
Now this gem is a picture of a younger Jeremy Brett and important because it catches his slightly creepy vibes perfectly, while making him look exceptionally good.
Now one of the most important things about Jeremy!Holmes: The Smile. It has to be in two pictures, because it consists of two parts: first part - the crooked smile still looking at the person vis-á-vis, second part: the smile to himself with his eyes downcast, cherishing whatever is so funny (usually things that aren't that funny at all).
Sometimes he's even laughing out loud but it has to be said that in this scene he's arguably high on something.
...as evidenced not by him running around with a blanket, because that is just demonstrative protest against the coldness inside a drafty country castle as opposed to his Baker Street home, but by him a) creepily smiling at the butler:
...and b) swaying around the room looking almost friendly (but maybe that's just because of Watson standing beside him):
Here a picture in Thinking Pose #1, the one with the hands:
And here Thinking Pose #2, the one with the finger:

Looking at something far away:
Well, that's it. I hope this little collection of pictures will mean something to someone. Thank you for browsing.
PS: I forgot to include the violin, which is unforgivable:
(Les sanglots longs des violons de l'automne blessent mon coeur d'une langueur monotone)
