I was laughing so hard about the pictures you can find on photobucket - just search for “kirk spock”.
Yes, im very bored, so im searching for completely random and stupid things.
I really liked the new movie and, different than a lot “new” Trekkies, i don’t think the new Spock & Kirk are the real ones - I’ve grown up with Shatner and Nimoy, and i really really liked them, and i like them today.
As a long time Trekkie, i see the new movie as a really good thing for the Star Trek Universe - it’s a brisk wind, and that’s more than good.
The hate between the new and old fans makes me sad, cause Star Trek stands for unity and peace, it should not be a think to fight about.
I have enough heart to love both, the new team and the old - they are both “my” Star Trek team, my Captain and my Spock - it doesn’t matter which actor plays them.
The new movie is a start, a start to a new life for Star Trek, new pleasure for the fans - the old and the new.
And, to be honest, Zachary and Cris are really good actors, and i like them as the young Spock and Kirk - and that’s how everyone, every real Trekkie, should see it - they aren’t a replacement for Shatner and Nimoy, they are Shatner and Nimoy - it’s about Kirk and Spock, and not about Shatner and Nimoy in reality.
I hope there will be a next movie with the young team, and of course - many many more.
