This storm is a far sight nicer than the war. Nasty business. They came with organic ships. And I have no idea why this weather makes me think about it.

Helska Four was a frozen rock.

[ Him implying she's uneducated pisses her off. She's got more degrees than she knows what to do with. ]

Yes, I do. But I was more referring to the barbarism than any sort of significance such behavior has for them religiously or as a people.

You're one country from a planet I've never even heard of. Try looking at a bigger picture.

And you're not?

That doesn't make it right. [ a few dots line the page ]

People like me can hear the voices of those dying cry out, then become eternally silenced. We can feel their pain, and their deaths. It isn't pleasant. Maybe that's why you have such an apathetic view of such things.

War makes things happen, makes people react, makes them stronger, makes them defend what they believe is right. It brings people together. It makes people think, and grow, and strive forward. Keeps them from becoming lazy and stagnant. It gives a stronger meaning to live.

My people weren't sissies afraid of war, and they fought with all they had. Their deaths were not wasted.

So your issue shouldn't be with war, but the God they think those people should go to. That's where the bullshit comes in.

That is the sad reality of things. But there ought to still be something to strive for in peace. There is never peace where I am from--at least, not since the Republic was dissolved a little over two decades before I was born. Politics aren't my arena. I don't care for them. Personally, I think governments blanket vibrant cultures under the cover of uniformity. But needless death--such as the Yuuzhan Vong inflicted upon hundreds of star systems was unforgivable.

I did not say that they were.

Gods, actually. They have a polytheistic religion. The Gods they worship the most are devoted to deception and death. Yes it is--

[ pause, a blank line ]

bullshit, as you say.
