First off, I gotta apologize profusely for my entry yesterday. I know I shouldn't apologize, that this is my journal and I should be able to say what I need to. Do I ever hate worrying people, though. One thing I need to learn is to cool down before I act on things. I'm fine now. Perfectly fine. And I know that, now that I've gotten that all out of my system, that I'm ready to make everything better. My journal doesn't need to be filled with entries like that.
It'll be difficult and I'll be pushing myself out of my comfort zone, but I'm going to fix this.
Thank you all. Really. Thank you so much. I'll end my mushiness right now before it gets out of hand. Just know that I'm all right and I'm going to stay that way. There's always a solution to everything, and there's definitely one to this.
Um... This is also sort of an entry saying that, well. If you want to take me off your flist, go ahead. I know I've been a dead journal and half of you probably can't even remember who I am. If you just want me gone, there will be no hard feelings. None at all. I'd be more than happy to get to know you again, though.
I really want to find another game that compels me to write and go out there and build CR and just... Yeah. It's a stretch. The last game that really made me excited was
hypnagogy, and we all know how that went. More than anything, I want to find a game where I stay past six months, past a year. Most games, though, just aren't that compelling to me. Doesn't help that the brand of character I play these days aren't the type that are here there and everywhere making friends and making what could be a boring premise worth it.
I have ideas for games. Two that I really want to do, actually. I TRUST Y'ALL, so I'll actually discuss them 'cause OH LAWD I need to release them from my brain.
The first is... Predictable of me. Zombies. I mean, I know I had Mahnsfield? The one problem with Mahnsfield, really, is that there really was... Nothing to do. Playing characters picking up the pieces in their lives isn't honestly that amazing, and I should have realized that. So, I want a game that actually takes place in the ~heat of the action~. It would start as the epidemic is spreading. Everyone is left confused. The news isn't putting out anything worthwhile, talking of hospitals filling up with mysterious cases and widespread attacks with no real reason behind them. The pieces will slowly fall together until the world practically falls apart, and the characters are left to do whatever they can to save their lives.
...Then again, that could be just as boring or could end up being the most amazing thing ever.
(This probably makes a better private storyline scenario. God, what I would give for it. Particularly Darker than Black flavored.)
The second is, well. Picture the stereotypical, old time small town in New England surrounded by a thick forest. It's fall. The leaves are all beautiful colors that only this season could provide, the air just cold enough without being biting. The town seems to be preparing for Halloween. Only...
It's always like this, every single day of the year.
I wouldn't recommend visiting this town for a wonderful vacation, though. The residents, er. They're everything Halloween is associated with. Real monsters, and not of the nice variety. They go about like humans do -- living in houses, buying all the necessities of life, going out and spending time with each other. Until the sun goes down, that is. That's when they all go inside their houses and make sure everything's locked up tight. With the night comes to beings that even the monsters themselves fear. They're the worst of the worst, the ones that have no respect for any sort of life. Not a good time. And by the way? Don't even begin to think of escaping through the woods. No matter the time of day, it's... Not good news.
...Of course, what does this mean? Where do the multi-fandom characters come in? Well, spots need to be filled within the city, and what better than fandom character? The problem is, of course, that humans are... Food for most, if not all, of the monsters inhabiting the city. Seriously, don't purchase anything from the local butcher. This means that they have to find some way to fit in. Easy! Upon arrival, they will be put into a costume. It's Halloween, after all! And a costume is the only way to deceive the native residents of the town. They can't be too ridiculous, after all, since Lord knows we don't want every yaoi freak putting their kawaii uke boiz in meido costumes all the time. Plus, that's the quickest way to end up the $5 house special at the nearest diner.
I... Really love this idea. So much. But, damn. I really do come up with too many ideas for games. Who knows, this one may make a better one on one, as well (IF ANYONE WANTS TO TRY IT OUT WITH ME pleasepleaseplease...).
Idk. If anything, I will probably end up making the second game one of these days. I just have to figure out a way to make it interesting. Characters will be able to change their costumes from time to time and there will even be events based on them (aside from other events within the town) and such, but. Hmm.
I can't sleep. :|
