Part 3!
Past
Mess Hall
Ronon and John are leading two scientists who forgot why they must go to the Mess Hall, and who don't like the idea. John goes to the wrong corridor, and try to convinces a worried Ronon that it's the corridors being confusing. Yeah, he doesn't want to admit he lost the bet, rather.
The place is already full of people, including Sam. John tells her that some of the habitants begin to resist and Lorne is picking up them. Because of the risks which could come from the panicked peoples without memory being chased by soldiers, like, for example, a little Czech with a pipe, John told him to arm himself and his men with stunners.
Sam goes back to work, while John asks Ronon to follow him, because he has an idea.
*thinky thinky*
Ding!
"I've got an idea!" "I know, I saw the bulb."
Still Past
Armoury
Lorne is taking a handful of pills, to delay the loss of his memory as much as possible. I guess later, he only remember it was useful, but not for what. Then John tells him he's got an idea about this problem.
Present
Corridors
Sam and Rodney are still wandering, with no idea of if they already took this way. Rodney think of marking the walls, but Sam reminds him they probably won't know it's from them. Suddenly, they hear someone approaching, and they hide behind a wall.
It's Radek, and he's evolved got a stunner. That means he knocked out a soldier and stole his gun. Zelenka is awesome. Rodney remembers him from his notes on his arm, and walks to him, hands raised just in case. Sam follows him.
Rodney realises that Radek also has his tablet computer, and while he doesn't remember what it is, he knows it's important. He convinces Radek to give it to him, and by intuition, find the good button to push. Even Radek forgot how a computer works. Anyways, the image of Teyla appears, and while they're happy to know how she looks like, they still don't how to find her.
"How did you do that?"
"I don't know!"
Past Again
Sam's Office
Keller finally found her bacteria, or something similar, but not in the database. In Carson's records, from his works on Athosians. The Kirsan fever is a childhood illness common in Pegasus, Teyla and Ronon had it when they were little. Rodney (who took John's place on leaning against the walls, apparently. I wonder what he learns from Teyla. Communicate with one eyebrow?) guesses that they have a mutated version of the illness, and Keller ends with the reason Ronon and Teyla are not affected, they have antibodies built up from when they had it.
Hey, is it Hammond or Jacob? There's Cassie. And the fishing photo.
It would be too long to use the antibodies to create a cure, but Teyla remind them they lived without them and their medicine, and tell that they can use the sap of an Enchuri plant.
Carter wants to send a jumper to get some, but Ronon remind her she disabled the Gate. Then Teyla asks her where Radek put the crystal, and she also doesn't remember that.
Teal'c!
No, I have no idea of what's John thinking either. Maybe he's looking a better way to decorate. *shrugs*
So John calls him. But because he's got nothing, he calls Lorne, who tells him that Radek must heard them coming, because he cracked one soldier over the head with his metal rod and disappeared down a service hatch before he could stun him. The image will never stop being funny. Never. It's always the quiet ones.
The team try to search Radek themselves, but without result. Anyways, like Rodney tells them, he probably won't remind where he put the crystal. Ronon suggests to look on the mainland, because, like Teyla says, it's basically grows like weeds everywhere. Rodney tells them he'll find a way to distribute the plant, and Teyla follows him, letting John in the hands of Ronon.
Just with the walk from the corridors to the jumper bay, John already forgot about them. Ronon shows him where to go and convinces him that flying a jumper is in his blood. Literally.
"Shiny."
In the labs, Rodney works on four laptops in the same time, when he forgot what he's doing. He sound less affected than John. Luckily, like in Phantoms, Teyla understand his works, and repeats him his plan, aerosolise the cure and send it by the ventilation system. Now, he's tempting to override base protocol for temperature, humidity, and air pressure.
But Rodney, even if he understand what she says and think it's easy, makes a mistake. He's frustrated by it, and panicked because he doesn't have a good memory to begin. But Teyla asks him a math question he answers without thinking, and she uses that to prove him science will be the last thing to leave.
Rodney has a moment wondering if it makes him a bad person, and Teyla put him back in tracks by telling him it makes him the one who will save them.
In case of doubt, use the Ego.
Back to the Present
Infirmary
Sam, Rodney and Radek find the infirmary. I love the fact that it's Radek, the only person we never saw using a weapon, who keep the stunner. They hardly have the time to wonder where they are, they hear voice, and they hide rapidly.
It's Lorne and his men, but while they come close to find them, they're only interested by the stimulants.
When they leave, Sam announces she's got an idea.
Past, probably a couple of hours
Mainland
The jumper landed in the mainland, and Ronon is ready to look for the plant. But John hesitates to follow, he doesn't understand why he's there, and from Ronon's words, it's not the first time he asks the same questions. Alas for him, Ronon is way less patient than Teyla and simply stun him. I think he likes it.
"Never gets old."
He attaches an unconscious John in the jumper, closes it, and leaves for the herbs alone.
"Oooh, that's why John let his hair like that! For pulling!"
