Picspam and review NCIS 9x12 Newborn King

Jan 04, 2012 00:18

Oh, Waild. Oh well, I actually didn't mind Dead Air. I know, it was compared to Jetlag, but it was better.

Ah, no, it's not clear.

This kind of smiles can't be good :D

'Oh, you!'

Wendy? Everybody is reacting in a very… mature way. No mocking, no sniping, no overreaction from Tony… Nice. I like how Tim just looks at him with a small smile.

I agreed to give her father a tour of NCIS, while he's in town for the holidays.
Well, that is nice.
Actually, I thought Director Vance would nix the idea.

Poor Jimmy. His plan almost worked. Now, did Vance know what he was trying to do, or did he really want to be nice?

The last time that Ed and I talked was when I asked for his permission to marry Breena. He laughed. And then he cried from laughing so hard. Then he got really quiet.

And failure number 2. Sorry Jimmy, can't escape it.

Look at that-- passenger window's been blown out.
Bullet holes. Looks like it's been sideswiped. Valet said they found it this way.
That's what they always say, isn't it?

I know he holds it like that because of clues and someone else's underwear. I'll still think of another reason he keeps a minimal contact with a bra. And again, I like how they both talking, or rather, not talking about Wendy. Calmly, Tim doesn't push the subject and Tony doesn't tell him to shut up or something. I really like that.

I liked Ziva pushing Tony to contact Wendy. Not for Anti-Tiva reason. Well, yeah, a little bit. Same reason so many Tiva found her reaction OOC. But she's with Ray, and wanting to keep a guy for herself while dating someone else would not paint her in a nice way. Same thing in the reverse. It's just a trope I don't like.

Starting well. If I remember well, Jimmy hates being called James. Yes Ed, Gibbs makes them work at Christmas for the fun. After all, everybody knows there's no crimes during the holidays.

I don't like Ed very much.

Jimmy and his Grinch-in-law have been stalking the halls spreading ill-will and yuletide yuckness.

Aww, kind of adorable. But not enough to join the club of Awesome Secondary Characters of Season 9.

Very nice, Tony. :)

Oo-rah. Oo-right.

'Do I look like I believe your bullshit?' That was your 'Tim is cool' scene, en solo. Next one is a duo.

I don't think it's your size, Gibbs.

Well, if you hadn't made that remark about her tattoos, we wouldn't be in time out. I still got six minutes left.

Ed, you're an asshole. Abby should have done more than a time out. Apparently longer than what she gave to Jimmy.

Nice acting from David, showing the various thoughts and emotion of Ducky while thinking of Jimmy leaving NCIS. Oh Jimmy, you and Breena are the only one to decide.

I'll help push.
Don't push.

OMG he stole the Christmas cookies!! Tell him to stick it, Jimmy, tell him!

Find anything to finger our fingerless man?

… Don't look at me, they put the line there!

Wait a second. Are those Hollander's homemade Christmas cookies from HR?
Did she make molasses this year?
She did, and they were good.
We're gonna need to commandeer these. Police business. I think I have a way to break our Bad Santa.
With what, cookies? What are you gonna do, sugarboard him? Thought you said they were pros.

Ah, here's the 'do you have any kids, agent Gibbs.'. It's becoming easier for him to talk about Kelly.

Faaaaavorite scene of the episode! Interrogation by cookies. When Tony's…Tonyess find a partner in crimes. Oh, you know what I want now? Them, with a newbie, in front of a home they need to enter in, the newbie think of getting a warrant and they'll both say they only need a stone. Imaginary playing optional.

You know, Wendy used to make the most kick-ass snickerdoodle.
I'm going to start with a series of true or false statements...
Mm-hmm.
...to give us a baseline.
What are you talking about?
Just think of it as like a lie detector test with cookies. You just have to sit there and eat.
Okay, here we go. Your hair is purple. You have all your fingers. You were following Lieutenant Emma Reynolds with the intention of abducting her baby.
Oh, hesitation. I see the hesitation.
Yeah, he did.
Yeah. Confirming hesitation.

No, no, I did not hesitate. I don't know what you're talking about.
You sure about that?
You've never committed a crime. Your favorite color is pink. You were hired by someone at the United States Department of Defense.
So you really are working for the government!
No. I don't know what you're talking about.
Sure about that?
So then you must be working for the Mayat tribe in Afghanistan.
I'll take that as a yes.
No. (coughs) I just choke on cookie. It does not mean anything.

Oh, it speaks volumes.
This is stupid! You're just trying to mess with my head!
Then why are you getting so upset if it isn't true?
If the family hired you, then they must have found out about the baby.
They need an heir to keep their land.
Not the frosted cutouts.
I will stop eating cookies.

Your prepaid cell we found on you.
How are you communicating with your other two associates?
The only number stored on your contacts list is six numbers long.
You're always missing a couple of digits, aren't you?
Well, maybe that's not a mistake. Maybe it's something else. Coordinates?
Code? Password?
Radio frequency? Radio frequency.
I'm gonna go with radio frequency.
*destroy the cell* You will never get it now.
We wrote it down, genius.

Why in the world would you say it like that?
Wh-Why? The weather, the road closures, 'cause they're never gonna make it.
How the hell would you know? They're trained agents.
Well...
You might not respect me or what it is we do here, but you have got to respect that fact that these people-- my people-- are risking their lives!
Well, if you're gonna put it like that...
There's no other way to put it. Till you can figure that out, we're not going anywhere. Sit down and shut up.

YES!! GO JIMMY!!!

Fight with two or three killers or deliver a baby. Fight with two or three killers, or deliver a baby…

… She missed? How did Ziva miss him? Beside that, I liked the scene, the birth versus the death, and the song.

Careful, Tony, don't get you two killed, please.

To show you how well I know my clichés, I only guessed the baby was a girl when she asked if he was okay. Now, they're both safe.

Awwww.

Double awwww. Breena got it all from her mother, I guess. They're my favourite canon couple with Gibbs/Fornell, now.

Interesting little look between the two. Even in my McNozzo mind. For a reminder, I see them as friends with benefits and in deep denial of deeper feelings for each other. It's the first time in this season McGee doesn't take it badly when Tony think of a woman, and Wendy is a different deal than Drew or Jenn. She's special, he wanted to marry her, almost did. 'Life is giving you a special chance, think well before you decide what to do with it.'

And it's nothing. Your mistake was to come here instead of to McGee's apartment, by the way :D. Unless he's with the family. I guess it was an opportunity to see his father for the first time since years…

Very nice scene between Tony and Gibbs. It's nice to see him evolving, growing up. Pointing Gibbs' flaws.

If I was doing like with Dead Air, giving or taking away points, I'll take off points for the abrupt change from the fight to Tony and McGee safely at NCIS in the morning and Ziva missing a guy in front of her with his back to her.

If I had to change some stuff to make the episode better for me, I'll have the guy see Ziva in the same time to explain how none of them had time to aim but time to hide, something harsher for Ed and his 'girls with tattoo are easy', and the team mentioning their plans for Christmas at the end to have the bonus function to explain where is Ziva.

I don't know if it's a popular opinion or not, I saw a lot of complains about practically the same things in this episode and while I agree with some of them, I honestly think Waild is getting better.

I'm really curious to see his next episode instead of apprehensive.
